“Fantastic property in a great location.”

The views are stunning, the beach is beautiful and sandy and was never crowded despite the perfect weather.

The property

The west coast of Ireland is just waiting to be discovered from Glassillaun Beach House, a spacious and well-equipped semi-detached house perched on the edge of the Renvyle Peninsula and offering spectacular views over the Atlantic.

Less than 5 miles from the coastal village of Tully, this welcoming property makes a great family base.

The six bedrooms all have en-suites and a variety of sleeping arrangements, so everyone can come along on your Irish adventure.

The kitchen is just the spot for preparing a tasty meal before heading to the dining area in the spacious living room to tuck in with the ever-changing sea as your backdrop.

After dinner, retire to the comfy sofas and relax in front of the multi-fuel stove while the night sets in.

Or, take your glass of wine outside to the raised deck with furniture to watch the waves lapping the sandy beach below.

Tully offers a shop and pub, ideal for a friendly pint with the locals.

Or if you fancy a spot of adventure, the scuba school next to your holiday cottage can offer chances to experience island dive safaris or wreck diving.

The Renvyle Peninsula is a haven for all kinds of marine adventures, from glass-bottomed boat trips to days spent wandering the long stretches of sandy beach, or spotting the prevalent wildlife including grey seals, otters, birds or even dolphins and porpoises.

About the location

Letterfrack 3.5 miles; Connemara National Park 3.5 miles; Clifden 12 miles.

The seaside village of Tully sits on the picturesque Renvyle Peninsula, County Galway. The village lies on the Atlantic Ocean, and fishermen still land the daily catch on the small pier by the beach. The village has two bars, a Post Office, a supermarket and a horseriding centre, as well as Teach Ceoil, a music house which holds traditional evenings of music each Tuesday evening during July and August. Across the bay are the mountains of Mweelrea and Croagh Patrick, and within easy reach are Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, and Inishbofin Island, not to mention numerous walking and cycling routes, sea cruises, angling trips and much more. A wonderful base for a relaxing Irish holiday.
