The bungalow was very nice and comfortable it was home from home and lovely and quiet we had a fantastic week with plenty of places to visit we really enjoyed our week- Mrs Payne, July 2019
“Everything functioned as it should, the shower was good (not always the case in other houses), the heating was good (which we fortunately didn't need for long) and there was everything necessary in the kitchen.”
We loved the perfect quiet and solitude and enjoyed our week at the house very much.- Mr O'Connor, June 2019
“Scrutan Beag is a very nice place to spend a short holiday.”
It was a beautiful quit place. We would certainly come back. These were a few points of attention: The baking pan needs to be replaced. Everything sticks to it. The washing pole in the yard was old, rusty and broken and can not be used again. The vacuüm cleaner sounded if it would explode so we dit not dare to use it. There also were no spare bags for it. We missed some seats or a picnic table in the garden. We missed soms small cutting knives in the kitchen. But all in all we had a lovely stay.- Ms De Boer, June 2019
“Sruthan Beag is a delightful small cottage in an attractive and peaceful setting.”
It is comfy, warm and well appointed and was just right as a base for visiting favourite places in the area including Dingle, Ballyferriter, Ventry and the Blasket Islands. An interesting library shelf too if only we had more time to read the books there.- Mrs Stagles, June 2019
“Wonderful setting and great location to explore the Dingle peninsula from.”
Really enjoyed my stay. Thanks- Mr Heslin, April 2019
“Really liked the location, the views were wonderful.”
Would recommend and will look to go again.- Mr Downey, March 2019
“We loved this place.”
Peace and quiet without being isolated. The cottage was very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable with good linen. Everyone in the area are friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this cottage.- Mrs Retallick, September 2018
“The cottage is in a perfect spot, walking distance from the beach ,beautiful lake and Mount Eagle.”
The cottage is small but comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope we will be able to come back next year.- Mrs Rejkowicz, July 2018
“Had a great time staying at the Struthan Beag, the cottage was well equipped with all cooking utensils available for our needs.”
The cottage had a great information book on how to use the various electrical equipment, great excursions and walking treks. Also a good collection of DVDS and interesting books. The only negative I would have is that there was no outside seating area such as a picnic bench. Finally watch out for the flies that bight!- Ms O'Leary, July 2018
“The cottage makes an uncomfortable impression outside.”
The ground was bedraggled, not nice indeed. There have been many flies/midges around the house (not your fault). The kitchen/living room was quite narrow, much smaller than it seems to be on the pictures. There were four rubbish bins in the kitchen - not nice in a kitchen. The furniture needs a refurbishment urgently. There were problems with the water in the kitchen, difficult to operate. The windows could not be opened, so it was quite stifling in the rooms. Really helpful and friendly were Simon's details and directions to find the house off the main roads.- Mr Kurth, June 2018
