Branching further afield, you can take a trip to the city of Waterford for even more Irish culture at Waterford Treas-ures: Medieval Museum, where costumed re-enactors bring the stories to life, or the rugged Re-ginald's Tower, a 13th-century fortress which is now a museum.

Ireland's scenic landscapes also means there are plenty of walking and cycling routes to be enjoyed, such as the disused railway, Waterford Greenway or perhaps stay closer to your home-from-home and set out on foot with a delicious packed lunch!
