This property is a well-presented, contemporary, converted farmhouse, sat next to the owner's small livestock farm, just 5 miles from the small village of Gowran, County Kilkenny.

This fabulous Gowran farmhouse is ideal for a group of friends or a family as it has been converted to a high standard and caters to all ages.

Catering for wheelchair users, this spacious Gowran farmhouse sleeps six people with three bedrooms, including one ground floor bedroom with en-suite and a ground floor wet room.

The well-equipped kitchen offers everything you should need for your holiday and the lovely dining area means you can all gather round and enjoy intimate evening meals or just enjoy good conversations and a bottle of wine!

Outside your lovely Kilkenny cottage, you benefit from views of the countryside so you can relax on the outside furniture in your enclosed garden and enjoy a cup of tea in the mornings, a lovely way to start the day and if you feel like dining alfresco, why not strike up the BBQ?

Gowran is a quaint village and is well-known for its racecourse, noted as of the most picturesque courses in Ireland; it is well worth a visit.

The course also offers golf, so make sure you pack your clubs so you can practice your swing!

The village also offers a few shops for your convenience and some pubs for your evenings out.

Just a short drive will bring you to Kilkenny.

Here, you can enjoy shopping, walking trails and the parks and gardens.

For a more cultured trip, you can explore Black Abbey, a Dominican church founded in 1225, Hole in the Wall, a restored Elizabethan Tavern from the 16th century or Kilkenny Castle, built in the 12th century.

For the night owls amongst you, there is also a variety of bars and pubs to keep you dancing into the early hours.

The quaint village of Gowran lies to the east of Kilkenny city. The village was once a place of importance prior to the Norman invasion and the large church and castle are still visible today. Gowran Park Racecourse and 18 hole golf course is located just outside the village and there is also a popular pitch and putt course in the village. Gowran lies close to the vibrant city of Kilkenny which is a cultural hotspot with many bars and restaurants as well as theatres and music venues. The River Nore provides excellent fishing opportunities and there is easy access to Dublin and the south via the M9 motorway. A superb, central location for your Irish holiday.
