    “Location, cottage and owners fantastic.”

    During difficult time recently (covid) this holiday was safe and secure. My husband and are are both nurses so the break was long overdue. The holiday was five star and was very relaxing. Definitely visit again. Xx

Tucked away in the rural setting of the beautiful 120-acre Belline Estate is this exceptional self-catering cottage Hunter’s Lodge situated a stone’s throw away from the quaint village of Piltown.

Coach House and Hunter’s Lodge enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the impressive 120-acre estate, home to enchanting mature woodlands and resident farm animals, so there is certainly something for all ages and tastes here. The properties have been lovingly restored, with a seamless combination of modern conveniences with lots of period features, to create wonderful places to return to at the end of each day. Whilst guests here, be sure to walk the acres of rolling parkland and as you explore, you will discover some interesting architectural follies throughout the grounds before meeting the 40 donkeys. Should you wish to leave this oasis, venture into the nearby village of Piltown, where you will find a friendly pub, a number of takeaways and a shop for picking up any essentials. Walks are in abundance here, with five river systems to meander alongside, all situated around magical mountains that can be climbed, as well as a patchwork of fertile valleys and plains which are awaiting to be explored. Recommended walks include visiting Poulanassy Waterfall and the historical landmark of Leac an Scail, Kilmogue Dolmen, or soak up the views as you journey along the Tory Hill Loop Walk Trailhead. Resting in Ireland's 'Sunny South East' in County Kilkenny is the village of Piltown, a small settlement which is home to to Ireland's largest Horticultural and Agricultural College. The village is situated between the rolling hills and forests of South Kilkenny and the foothills of the Comeraghs in Waterford, making this a great location for walkers to base themselves, with easy access along the main road N24 connecting you to Waterford, Tramore, Kilkenny and Clonmel. Within the village itself you can find a local takeaway, a butchers and a supermarket, along with a pub Anthony's Inn, offering everything you need for a self-catered stay.
