    “Such a lovely house in a beautiful area.”

    The house had so many useful things eg soap in every bathroom, dishwasher tablets, lots of towels, plenty of space and lovely outdoor area. Its location is great with plenty to see and do. We would love to stay again and would recommend this house and lovely hosts.

To the front of your Sligo cottage, you have a well-presented lawned garden perfect for lounging around in the sunshine and to the rear, you have a lawn and patio with furniture; so crack open a bottle of wine and enjoy it while you take in the fresh Sligo air.

The lively town of Boyle sits on the border of Sligo and Roscommon at the foot of the Curlew Mountains and is steeped in history.

You can visit the 12th century Abbey or King House, a Georgian Mansion.

Boyle also offers a wide variety of shops.

Slightly further afield, you will find the fantastic town of Carrick on Shannon, widely known as a watersports paradise; and with over forty lakes, you?ll be spoilt for choice!

There is something for everyone in Carrick on Shannon such as golfing, horse riding, rowing, paint balling, hill tumbling and much more.

But if you?re more of a night owl, fear not, as Carrick on Shannon has plenty of nightlife to keep you happy, from pubs and bars to nightclubs!

Carrick-on-Shannon 10 miles; Ballymote 13 miles.

The small and lively village of Boyle sits on the border between County Roscommon and County Sligo. Steeped in history, Boyle has had a varied past and features a beautifully preserved 12th century abbey, as well as the grand King House, a restored Georgian mansion in the centre of the town. Lough Key lies just outside Boyle with a superb wooded adventure centre, as well as pretty footpaths around the lakes, which take in the ruins of Rockingham House. Nearby Carrick-on-Shannon, a lovely riverside town, is internationally regarded as an angler's paradise and offers no less than four large fishing lakes within a 6 mile radius. With a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants in the town, this is an excellent choice for an Irish holiday.
