Located just outside the village of Keadue in County Roscommon is this charming, detached cottage. Split over two floors, this lovely traditional style cottage has four bedrooms, one of which is a twin bedroom on the ground floor complete with its own en-suite for convenience, and there is also a family bathroom. On the ground floor guests will find two sitting rooms, one boasting a warming open fire, and a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area making a great social area. To the front and rear of the property are lawned gardens and a place to sit, perfect for enjoying a spot of alfresco dining! The village of Keadue is pleasant and well kept, twice winning Ireland’s ‘Tidy Towns’ competition and features a variety of local attractions including a 14th century Catholic church. Visit Kilronan Castle for an indulgent experience at the Spa, or take a walk in the surrounding forest along the shore of Lough Meelagh. Carrick-on-Shannon is a short drive from the cottage, where the fantastic fishing opportunities will appeal to amateur or professional anglers. There is also a variety of restaurants, shops as well as different exhibitions and shows at The Dock, on the banks of the River Shannon. The vibrant, cultural town of Sligo and its fantastic variety of amenities makes for an exciting day trip. This welcoming cottage makes a fantastic base for exploring the Irish countryside.
