With breathtaking lake views and a whole host of modern comforts and conveniences, this cottage has been lovingly renovated, offering a pleasing mix of a traditional atmosphere and contemporary design. Tastefully decorated throughout, this lovely cottage boasts a bright and airy open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a warming solid fuel stove, as well as a splendid curved barn-style ceiling above, making this the ideal social space in which the party’s chef can prepare a celebratory meal, whilst chatting with the rest of the group as they relax with a glass of something cool in hand. If you look up from this room you’ll see a mezzanine area, the ideal retreat to hideaway with a good book in the evening. The three lovingly-furnished and well-appointed bedrooms are situated in the older part of the cottage, with one featuring an en-suite shower room, ideal to come home to after a busy day adventuring with your loved ones. Venture outside and you’ll find a covered decked area with furniture, a great spot to dine alfresco on a summer’s evening whilst admiring the views of Lough Melvin. Just across a quiet country road, this cottage also has access to a private lake, where you can take a stroll or fish if you choose. From your doorstep it’s easy to immerse yourself in all the countryside has to offer, with walks uphill taking in stunning views of Lough Melvin and Donegal Bay. The village of Kinlough boasts a fine selection of independent shops, local pubs and welcoming restaurants, ideal for an evening out with your family before heading back to your lovely holiday home. The village is the perfect starting point from which to explore all of the north west of Ireland, with a multitude of attractions within easy reach, including the seaside town of Bundoran, the historic town of Donegal and of course, Ireland’s breathtaking Wild Atlantic Way, where craggy cliffs meet sandy shores, along Europe’s longest coastal route. On the route you’ll discover some of the most wonderful scenery you could imagine, with the beaches at Mullaghmore, Streedagh in County Sligo and the Slieve League Cliffs near Carrick, in Donegal. Hop in the car and just a short drive away you’ll be rewarded by the striking shores of the Atlantic Ocean, whilst closer to home Rossinver offers an Organic Centre which is a haven for those who love gardening. Whether it’s walking, golfing, surfing, swimming, diving or fishing that you love, this stunning region offers you endless opportunities for enjoying yourself.
