Enriched with history and wonder, Achill Island makes a delightful base to spend a holiday to west Ireland with your loved ones, surrounded by scenery and a scatter of amenities, it provides a fun-filled trip for all.

As you pull onto the large lands of the driveway, park the cars at the front and take in the views of the Atlantic Ocean and mountains ahead.

Once you’ve managed to peel your eyes from the exterior, head inside to uncover the delights held inside.

Kick off your boots in the spacious hallway and head into the open-plan living space to rustle up a delicious lunch; this room is definitely the social hub of the house, combining a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of room for the little ones to help out, a dining table where you can all gather to enjoy the dining experience, and a sitting area to recline into when all bellies are full, there’s no better spot to relish each other’s company and create everlasting memories with one another.

In the summer months, the adjoining sun room provides the perfect space to enjoy a glass of wine and your favourite book whilst the sun warms you up ahead of the mountain tops just outside of the window; it’s also a great platform to watch the children and dog enjoy the enclosed lawn outside, serving as a double delight!

If the weather’s a little chillier, step into the separate sitting room where you can light up the open fire and spend some quality time with your partner when the little ones are sound asleep in the bedrooms along the hallway; boasting three bedrooms including a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a family room with a double and children’s bunks, and a further double, the property has been furnished with families in mind to ensure that everyone can rest in comfort in contemporary and stylish rooms.

If you decide to spend a day at the beach, the bathroom is well-equipped to soak off the sand in the power shower, or choose to unwind in the Jacuzzi bath after an action-packed day to achieve true tranquillity.

A hidden gem can be found just outside of the property in the form of a garage, take a stroll outside to discover a magnificent games room, which also hosts utility facilities, so you can ensure your clothes are being cleaned whilst taking part in a family-fun game of pool.

The local area is the perfect place to unwind, surrounded my peaceful lands, it offers you the opportunity to explore the lands by foot or bike, and be sure to take a walk to the scenic spot of Lough Doo too where you can enjoy a picnic under the sunset.

Close by you can also find the historic area of Dugort, boasting an array of historical landmarks here and across the whole island, it provides a fantastic day out for all the family.

Slightly further afield is the village of Keel, where you can find the most popular beach on the whole island, as well as opportunities to partake in watersports, golfing and plenty of places to indulge in good food.

You even have the option to take a day trip to the fun-filled lands of Westport or even Clare Island too, promising a day out you’ll never forget.
