The property

This lovely detached cottage is idyllically situated on the shores of Lough Conn, seven miles from Ballina. Well-furnished throughout, this delightful cottage offers light and airy accommodation and is ideal for a family or group of friends looking to explore this wonderful area of Ireland rich in history, culture and heritage. Based all on the ground floor this property has three comfortable bedrooms and a wet room. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a tasty meal that can then be enjoyed by all in the dining area. After a fun-filled day retire to the cosy sitting room with open fire and plan your next day’s adventures together. On sunny days head outside with a refreshing drink, relax on the seat and soak up the fantastic scenery. This is a lovely place to spend time on a summer’s evening as the sun is setting over the lapping waters of the lough. Ideally located between the towns of Ballina and Crossmolina there is a range of pubs and restaurants to enjoy, especially if you fancy a night off from the cooking. Ballina is also home to the 15th century Rosserk Friary, the splendid St Muredach’s Cathedral set on the banks of the River Moy, and the ruins of Moyne Abbey. Salmon fishing can also be enjoyed on the River Moy and the famous Ridge Pool a salmon angler’s paradise is located in the centre of the town. A little further afield is Achill Island, Westport and the sandy beach at Enniscrone, all offering a fun day of exploring. This cottage really is the perfect base from which to experience the Emerald Isle and all that County Mayo has to offer.
