Approached via a quiet country lane with stone washed walls in a rural setting, Glor Cottage is a detached, traditional-style cottage near Knock in County Mayo.

With a bright and airy feel throughout, by the help of the natural light streaming in through the windows, this charming abode is ideal for families and friends looking to tour the local area.

With a plethora of walking and outdoor adventure within easy reach, return to find this humble abode offers a cosy base to relax and unwind at the end of the day.

You are welcomed into the well-appointed kitchen showcasing a lovely breakfast table for you to gather at mealtimes and a tiled finish framing a quality set of base and wall units.

Once you have discussed the events from the day over a piping hot dinner, move through to the sitting area and get cosy by the traditional, solid fuel range in front of the TV.

The quaint village of Knock is home to one of Europe’s most famous religious landmarks. The impressive Knock Shrine was apparently the location of an apparition in 1879. The site has such importance that John Paul II visited Knock Shrine himself to commemorate the centenary of the vision. The village now attracts over one million visitors a year and is just a short distance from Knock Airport. The area is surrounded by beautiful stretching countryside and is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, walkers and fishermen. There are many towns nearby including Castlebar and Westport with many events and festivals throughout the year.
