“Having stayed here once before,we knew what to expect.”

On some occasions in the past we have found where we have returned to a property we have previously stayed in, through other providers,we have encountered a decline in the overall condition of the property .Perhaps through neglect and poor management. This certainly is not the case with Balloor Cottage,It's exactly 12 months since our last stay and the place was immaculate again,I was just recovering from surgery, and Balloor was just great in giving me that lift.My family and I love it ...

The property

This delightful, ground floor detached cottage is situated in a rural position two miles from Ballyvary.

This is the ideal location for a family or group of friends looking to explore this region of Ireland.

The cottage has three comfortable double bedrooms together with a bright and airy open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and small sitting area.

The kitchen is well-equipped, perfect for rustling up a tasty meal to enjoy together.

Afterwards retire to the larger sitting room, where you can relax together over a coffee or glass of wine, in front of the warming fire, whilst you plan the next day’s adventures.

The village of Ballyvary will supply all your basic needs, while a little further afield Swinford, Foxford and Castlebar offer a wider selection of restaurants and pubs where you can mix with the locals and sample some traditional Irish culture.

A little further afield is the pretty village of Westport which is steeped in history and surrounded by lovely scenery; wander around the individual shops and maybe select a gift or two to take home.

Lough Mask and the River Moy both offer fishing and there are a choice of golf courses nearby for those who wish to practise their swing.

This is a wonderful part of Ireland with plenty of things to do and see, before returning to re-charge your batteries at this lovely cottage.
