Tullaghan View is an elevated, detached cottage near the village of Ballycroy. It poses stunning, uninterrupted sea views across to Achill Island and a spacious elegant interior, providing a fantastic base for a family holiday to the County Mayo area. The bedrooms have an elegant and luxurious feel, with ample storage and space. The main bathroom is tastefully tiled and has a jacuzzi bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC. Step outside the cottage and you will be wowed by stunning countryside and sea views, all from your private, enclosed lawned garden area. Although the cottage is set in a stunning, rural location, the local shop and pub can be located within a 10-minute drive, in the charming village of Ballycroy. To explore the area further you can visit Ballycroy National Park, which has several walking trails to follow, picturesque views and a cosy café to relax after exploring the surroundings. Further afield is Birreencorragh, which is an impressive mountain in the Nephin Beg Range, which reaches 698 meters above sea level, a fantastic, yet challenging walk with incredible views. Westport is within an hour’s drive from the property. Here you will find several shops, pubs and restaurants to explore, as well as Westport House to experience some of the area’s history. Ballycroy is renowned for world class salmon and trout fishing. Closer to home is Innishbiggle Island, which is a small inhabited island and a short boat trip away. Tullaghan View is the perfect family base for a holiday to the coastal location of Ballycroy.

Ballycroy is a village in County Mayo, in a lovely coastal area known for its great sailing conditions and also for the superb angling, and salmon and sea trout fishing on offer in the area surrounding it. Ballycroy itself has two pubs and a shop, and is also home to Ireland's sixth National Park. The visitor centre for the park is easily found in the centre of the village, and with its tea room and insight into life in the park, makes for a great starting point for your time exploring the 11,000 acres of bog and mountainous terrain. A little further afield but within easy reach is the popular bustling tourist town of Westport, well worth a visit with a wide range of shops, restaurants, pubs and bars, and alive with traditional music and rich Irish heritage. Another must see of the area is Clew Bay, a stunning and majestic formation of some 100 small islands located at the foot of Croagh Patrick, a 2500 ft mountain which is an important site for pilgrimage, and, for the more energetic, a wonderful day’s walk. The area holds something for everyone whatever time of year you choose to visit.
