Outside the pretty lawned garden is the ideal place to sit and relax in this peaceful location, plus there is horse riding available in the local area, and just three miles away is the bustling town of Westport, with its great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.

Westport is a lively and welcoming place where it won't be difficult to find some traditional Irish music, or some friendly locals to have a chat with.

Visit the spectacular gardens and beautiful views overlooking Clew Bay at the popular Westport House, play golf at the Westport Golf Club, go sailing at Mayo Sailing Centre or walk or cycle the Achill Way - all are within easy reach.

For the more adventurous, climb to the top of the looming Croagh Patrick to see some spectacular views.
