The property

This lovely detached cottage is situated next to the owner's home, two miles from the village of Belcarra and five miles from the town of Castlebar in County Mayo.

Dating back over 100 years and formally a post office, this Castlebar cottage boasts character features, including stone floors, vaulted ceilings and patterned walls, which combine well with modern conveniences.

Set all at ground floor level, this cottage near Castlebar offers three bedrooms, including one that has an en-suite shower room, so after a busy day out and about; a peaceful night’s sleep is assured.

The engaging Museum of Country Life, Ireland’s only National Museum outside of Dublin, is also situated just outside the town.
