The property

This lovely holiday home is situated one mile from Louisburgh, and half a mile away from the beach, in County Mayo.

Boasting countryside views in every direction, this charming property is ideal for your family holiday to this stunning region.

Split over two floors, this property offers five comfortable bedrooms, two of which feature en-suite facilities for that extra touch of comfort.

There is also a family bathroom on the ground floor, as well as a separate basin and WC, perfect for a large group.

Also on the ground floor, guests will find a large well-equipped kitchen, ideal for whipping up hearty family meals for everyone to enjoy in the dining area whilst sharing memories of the day.

The relaxing sitting room is ideal for resting after a busy day, warming cold toes in front of the open fire.

The additional landing space with a sitting area can provide a quiet place to relax and read.

On warm mornings, take your cup of coffee outside and enjoy the stunning countryside views while you plan the day’s activities.

With the nearby town of Louisburgh sitting within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the Blue Flag beach being just a 10 minute walk from the cottage, you can have the best of both coast and country in one location.

Further afield, there are plenty of pretty walks and cycling routes all over County Mayo, taking in the beautiful scenery of the countryside and coast, as well as an abundance of fishing opportunities.

A day can be spent in the charismatic town of Westport, with its backdrop of the magnificent Croagh Patrick, offering plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants for guests to peruse.

With plenty to do from the doorstep, this cottage makes an ideal base to explore this fantastic region.

The small town of Louisburgh, in County Mayo, is located on the Bunowen River and has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by lovely rural scenery, the town offers endless opportunities to explore Ireland. Boasting three Blue Flag beaches, Bertra, Carramore and Old Head, it is also in close proximity to the Sheaffrey and Mweelrea Mountains, as well as Carrownisky Beach, which is ideal for surfing; there really is something to please everybody! You may wish to take a ferry from Roonagh Pier out to Clare Island, one of the inhabited islands in Clew Bay, enjoy views towards Connemara and Achill on a clear day, or discover the more traditional Féile Chois Cuain, May Bank Holiday music festival. This lovely location offers plenty to see and do for all ages.
