“We had a wonderful week in the beautiful surroundings of Mulranny.”

Pat and Mary were so warm and welcoming and Pat is very knowledgable about the local history etc. The cottage is a short walk from the Greenway so we had lots of trips both walking and cycling. Our son even took to sketching the local sheep and rabbits in the evening! Luckily we had a warm sunny week so we saw the stunning scenery at its best. Pat has organised a good system in the shed for recycling of waste. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we hope to return again.

“The first impression on arriving at Cnocmor cottage is that the photos cannot do it justice.”

A cosy cottage tucked into the side of the hill surrounded by garden and orchard looking out on a spectacular view of mountain and sky. While retaining the feel of an old world home, this simple cottage is snug and convenient. Perfectly located for cycling and hill walking. In the evening we lit the wood stove or walked down to nearby Nevins for a drink. We greatly enjoyed meeting the owners, who were very welcoming and responsive. We will be back!

“We loved the little cottage.”

It was a bit harder to find than we expected, I could simplify the directions a bit more. The hosts were absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Especially Mary the lady who was born in the very house we stayed in. As Catholics we loved the font by the door and the picture of Jesus in the kitchen. I've been to Achill many many times, and as usual had a lovely time. The cottage was spotless and beautiful. I think we will definitely stay again when we are back down. Many thanks for such a lovely stay.

“beautiful rural retreat”

Great cottage with plenty of room inside and out, The furnishings could do with renewing but are all ok and comfy ( if you want 5* then pay for it ) We had a great time and would happily use the cottage again.

“TRANQUILLITY PERSONIFIED”

We stayed at cnocmor cottage in august 2013 and had the most wonderful peaceful relaxing holiday; our hosts pat and mary were the most welcoming of people and ,the cottage itself was idyllic and in the most beautiful setting...right beside the superb greenway and we shall definitely be revisiting in the near future.....many thanks to pat and mary... until the next time....THE LOFTUS FAMILY...xxxxx.

“Perfect, Perfect, Perfect”

The cottage was perfect, the weather was perfect, the people were perfect. Everything we've come to expect from Mayo and more. The cottage was lovely, clean and well furnished, the beds were so comfy and the rooms were all a good size. The location had beautiful views and was well maintained. We had lovely weather and there's loads to do in the area so while we weren't there as much as we would have liked we were happy to spend evening in as well as out sampling the local hospitality. We will be booking again soon.

Mulranny is a vibrant seaside village situated on the isthmus between Clew Bay and Bellacragher Bay on the Wild Atlantic Way in County Mayo, Ireland. The area is noted for its excellent walking and cycling facilities, most notably several marked looped trails and the Great Western Greenway, a purpose built 43 km traffic-free cycling and walking facility where you can take in some of the most idyllic scenery in the West of Ireland. The area is also home to a variety of interesting flora and fauna and the seashore is fringed by Mediterranean heath, a plant which, in Ireland, is restricted to County Mayo.
