About the location
DROGHEDA, COUNTY LOUGH
Dundalk 21 miles; Dublin 30 miles
One of the oldest towns in Ireland, Drogheda is a wonderful base for your break. It's placed on the east coast of Ireland, sat south of Louth's county town, Dundalk, and north of Ireland's bustling capital, Dublin. This ancient town, with its remarkable architecture, offers an array of high-quality amenities, as well as being full of history. There is a museum and the magnificent St. Peter's Church to admire. It has a history for distillery and brewing, with Guinness, Coca-Cola, Jack Daniels and Jamesons all producing in and around the town at some point. For families, there is Funtasia Drogheda - a complex with everything from a swimming pool with slides to pool tables and air hockey, is a fabulous place to visit. Both Dublin and Dundalk are definitely worth a day trip.
