Roscommon, just beside the border of County Mayo. Situated in the Lung Valley, Ballaghaderreen is surrounded by captivating rural scenery and views. With its friendly people, the town of Ballaghaderreen is a charming touring base for your west of Ireland getaway. Ballaghaderreen is also a great place for traditional and Country and Western music that can be enjoyed in the local pubs. There is also a traditional music centre just a few miles away that holds twice weekly concerts of Irish music and dancing; ideal for fans of all ages, as is the traditional, annual Irish music week on 1st July. Lough Gara and the surrounding lakes in Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon are perfect for anglers, and is probably one of Ireland’s best coarse fishing destinations.
