The property

This delightful country cottage is situated on the outskirts of the village of Monasteraden close to the borders of County Roscommon and County Mayo. The cottage is ideally located as a touring base and will suit a family looking to make the most of their Irish adventure. This homely cottage has a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, perfect for cooking up a tasty meal which can be enjoyed indoors, or on sunny days why take the plates outside and dine alfresco on the patio? On chillier evenings, curl up with a good book on the sofa in the sitting room in front of the cosy oil stove, or maybe watch a bit of TV, before retreating to one of the comfortable bedrooms to rest before the next day’s adventure. The village of Monasteraden is just a short stroll down the road and caters for all your basic needs, whilst within an easy drive is Lough Gara Riding Stables which offers horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, fishing and falconry. The towns of Sligo and Westport with their array of shops, restaurants and pubs with traditional Irish music and culture make for a good day trip. This is a great cottage whatever you choose to do.
