The property

Cashel 4 miles. The Farmhouse, dating back to the 1640s, sits four miles from the County Tipperary town of Cashel in the South of Ireland. Offering beautiful, cosy accommodation for eight people, bring friends and family together and enjoy this wonderful Irish region. This heart-warming getaway has been beautifully converted, whilst sympathetically retaining some of its original 17th century features. The ground floor offers everything that you need to relax in charming style, from a spacious and social living/dining room with leather seating and a woodburning stove in a stunning fireplace, to a cosy little snug room brimming with books and benefiting from its own open fire, perfect for some quiet time. A rustic and compact, yet fully equipped kitchen completes the ground level of the property. Set across three floors, most of the bedrooms lie on the first floor, boasting double beds, whilst one benefits from a modern en-suite and another reveals a fabulous mezzanine sitting area accessed by a ladder. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom. A tastefully decorated twin bedroom rests comfortably under the eaves on the second floor, coming with its own snug seating area and an en-suite WC for convenience. In the sunny weather, take a seat on the delightful patio and perhaps enjoy an alfresco feast with your loved ones. Cashel, four miles away, is a lovely town dominated by its idyllic abbey whilst offering a choice of places to eat, drink and shop. Visit the ruins of Hore Abbey. Golfers can enjoy the courses in Cahir, Dundrum and Tipperary Town, just a 15 minute drive away, whilst walkers can explore the Glen of Aherlow 10 minutes away, or the Galtee Mountains. Coolmore Stud in Fethard is around 25 minutes away and is home to the finest stallions in Europe! Alternatively attend the horseracing in Clonmel. Nearby, you can visit the the striking city of Limerick slightly further afield. Just an hours drive away is the town of Kilkenny, Cork and the Mitchelstown caves. Why not take a trip to Dublin or the Port of Rosslare, just a two hour drive away? Just an hour and a half drive from Cork Airport.
