  • “Valley view is a house with good and bad points.”

First the good points, it is in a good location for touring South Wexford. The house is bright .airy. and spacious, the controls for the kitchen appliances, showers and heating and hot water are easy to use. The beds are comfy and the house is easy to maintain. BUT the directions to the house are suitable if you are coming from Dublin Airport or Rosslare but if you are coming from another part of Ireland it may mean having to go 12 to 15km out of your way to follow directions, so I would ...

First the good points, it is in a good location for touring South Wexford. The house is bright .airy. and spacious, the controls for the kitchen appliances, showers and heating and hot water are easy to use. The beds are comfy and the house is easy to maintain. BUT the directions to the house are suitable if you are coming from Dublin Airport or Rosslare but if you are coming from another part of Ireland it may mean having to go 12 to 15km out of your way to follow directions, so I would suggest directions from Arthurstown as well as Willamsbridge, Also it was late. dark and raining when we arrived and found it a bit difficult to find the house, so a marker outside the wall could be useful. The keys to this house are kept in a key safe which is very tricky to use I got it open to gain access but failed to open it to return keys at end of week. There are 4 access points to the house all with steps which is awkard for people with mobility problems.the mat in the hall had turned up ends posing a trip hazard. The television even though the house is in Ireland had no Irish channels a maintenance man had look but failed to sort problem also the TV is almost impossible to use after a night or two we stopped trying to turn it on and did without luckily we had books and games with us.The kitchen had no welcome pack of tea, coffee etc there was no radio,no scissors or oven gloves and the presses were so full of kitchen utensils that there was no room left for storing food only the worktop. There is only one rubbish bin in the kitchen and still we were expected to recycle. The main bathroom had no bath or shower slip mats provided. The twin bedrooms had no rubbish bins,no second locker or lamp and there were no extra pillows or blankers. Lastly on the day of departure we were asked to strip the beds (never before been asked to do this) and put the bed linen and the towels in the bath. This is my report of Valley View and I leave it up to you future prospective customers if you want to travel and stay in this house or not.
