“The welcome was great and far cleaner and better equipped than any other cottage that we have had before , a bit out of the way but that suited us fine.”
“This house was amazing and so clean!”
I would definitely stay here again. June was so lovely to deal with also and couldn't do enough for us. Thanks a million.
Lovely place we loved it home from home 3 big bedrooms, large kitchen, living room, bathroom and one of the bedrooms is en suite. June the host was lovely, tea coffee sugar, butter, bread, milk all there when we arrived which was great as we didn't get there till 8.30 on the night, nothing too much trouble if you needed her, she was just across the road. The cottage was very very clean, lovely furniture in every room. Kitchen there was freezer fridge and dishwasher on hand washing machine in a little room by back door. Lovely gardens to sit in. Well stocked kitchen for cooking, we didn't want to leave and we are going back soon as this cottage and Ireland was brilliant, peaceful relaxing. Would recommend this cottage if you are going to Ireland, we LOVED it.
“What a beautiful view!”
Lots and lots to recommend this Holiday Home for. Firstly though don't expect the name on the door to say 'Bertha's House', it's actual name is 'Hill View', and for very good reason. The pictures are accurate on first glance but don't convey the comfortable and homely feeling we all felt when June (the owners sister) let us in. No complicated instructions, easy to use appliances and well stocked with everything but the ingredients for good home cooked meals. Three reasonably sized double bedrooms, perfect for us (Mother and two adult children) but also perfect for three couples, plus there's a travel cot. One bedroom with ensuite shower room which for reasons within my control went to my daughter. The views from the rear (seen from two bedrooms and kitchen) warrant the 'Hill View' name plaque. Loved it! Picky bits - Unreliable/none existent phone signal and no internet connection. We tried to embrace it. Squeaky doors - we had a pin drop light sleeper! Open fire - Only tried it once, filled the room with smoke which stayed around for a bit.
