“The cottage was lovely, we had everything we could possibly need provided.”
The hosts were fantastic, very helpful and obliging. It was like a home from home. The only downside was contact with the agency, telephone contact was impossible and emails took weeks to be replied to. My family really enjoyed our stay at Tober Eile.

“We had a brilliant time at the cottage.”
My children absolutely loved the house, it was spacious with lots of room . The owners were extremely friendly. My youngest kids loved the ability to see the animals. WE also loved the close proximity to many locations in the surrounding area. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.- Mrs Mcguire, July 2018
“Mrs. Heffernan is a wonderful host.”
The property is beautiful and perfect for a holiday break. She was most welcoming and regularly delivered us the morning newspapers together with, on one occasion a much welcome pack of sausages and rashers for breakfast! In the mornings we had a lovely view of the pet geese and deer in adjoining fields. We got a real taste of the countryside.- Mrs Fox, October 2016
“The owner is a lovely lady - very kind and helpful.”
As this is a working farm, there are animals wandering around the yard.- Mrs Lane, May 2014

Ferns 5 miles. Situated around a pretty courtyard on the owner's working livestock farm, 1 mile from the village of Boolavogue, and 5 miles from the historic town of Ferns, these Ferns holiday cottages make a great base for family, friends and large groups to enjoy a rural getaway. Combining modern amenities with character and charm, these Ferns self-catering cottages boast exposed stone walls and open fires, providing cosy, comfortable accommodation for any guest. Tober Mor, the largest of the cottages, offers guests flexible sleeping arrangements in six bedrooms, as well as a very large sitting room with open fire, the ideal place to relax and spend time together. Tober Eile is the most recent addition to the group, and offers comfortable accommodation for up to 8, but also offers an adjoining first floor door to Tober Mor, for large groups or families that wish to holiday together, but retain that element of privacy. The door can also be locked, keeping the two largest Ferns cottages completely separate, for individual groups. Tober Beag is the smaller of the cottages and features two pretty bedrooms, a fantastic open plan living area with open fire, and a feature paddock door, great for families, or as a cosy, romantic retreat. The town of Ferns has an interesting history just waiting to be discovered, while the coastal resort of Courtown has something for everyone. With ten lovely, secluded beaches in the area, and lots to see and do, these Ferns cottages are fantastic, all year round.

About the location
FERNS, COUNTY WEXFORD
Enniscorthy 7.5 miles; Courtown 14 miles.
The small, historic town of Ferns in County Wexford lies 7.5 miles from Enniscorthy, the second largest town in the county, and is famous for its long religious past. Established in the 6th century, Ferns has had a profound influence on Irish history, and is home to numerous landmarks and historic and religious buildings, evidence of its illustrious past. Today, only half of 13th century Ferns Castle is still standing, however, its beauty remains evident as it stands tall in the heart of Ferns. Close by, the historic town of Enniscorthy, situated on the River Slaney, boasts lots for tourists to see and do including the ever-popular greyhound racing track, while the coastal resort of Courtown is only a short drive away. Take a stroll along Courtown Harbour and spend an afternoon on the beach, or alternatively, walk or cycle your way through Courtown Wood, and stop for a picnic by the beautiful Owenavarro River. Also other attractions nearby include Wells House and Gardens and Ballymore Historic Features. Within a short drive is the lovely beach at Morriscastle, and a little further lies the Blue Flag sandy beach at Curracloe, great for families. With lots to see and do, Ferns is a fantastic base for touring the area.
