The owner Ann gave us a very warm welcome with homemade buns, milk and bread left for us. She even gave us a bottle of wine as we celebrated our wedding anniversary! The property

This delightful semi-detached farmhouse is set amongst countryside next to the owner’s home, close to Wellingtonbridge in the south east of County Wexford.

You can start your holiday almost immediately as the cottage is only a half hour drive from Rosslare Harbour.

You will not be disappointed with the well-furnished interior where you will find a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen with a solid fuel stove and a dining area for the whole group to enjoy hearty home-cooked meals.

The comfort continues in the sitting room with a solid fuel stove to keep you warm after a day spent walking the local trails.

Upstairs are three double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room while the others share a family shower room.

On sunny days you can head outside and enjoy the lawned garden which has plenty of space for the children to play in while you can relax on the patio area and perhaps dine alfresco.

Nearby Wellingtonbridge provides all the amenities you will need and is also a great starting place for bike rides and walking.

You are in a fantastic position to visit some of the local attractions including Hook Head Lighthouse, Wexford town and the beaches at Cullenstown and Bannow.

You could spend a day discovering Wexford and visiting the variety of shops before enjoying a meal at one of the restaurants or traditional pubs where you can mingle with the locals and enjoy the Irish music.

The small village of Wellingtonbridge is situated in the Sunny South East of County Wexford. Located halfway between the bustling towns of New Ross and Wexford, Wellingtonbridge is home to an historic railway station which was once an important location for the loading of sugar beet. Wellingtonbridge offers an excellent central location for touring the South East with Rosslare ferry harbour only a half hour drive away. Attractions include the beautiful 13th century monastery at Cullenstown, Bannow and Duncannon, perfect for family days out and romantic strolls. The stunning John F Kennedy Arboretum and the Kennedy homestead are located close to New Ross where the fascinating Dunbrody Famine Ship can be viewed. Hook Head Lighthouse is one of the highlights in this region and the coastal drive along this peninsula is almost as good as the lighthouse itself! There are plenty of traditional pubs, seafood eateries and glorious walking trails around the region so you will not be short of things to do. A wonderful location to discover this beautiful county and its stunning coastline.
