“Wagtail barn was a lovely place to stay although very compact and joined with nextdoor neighbour with a door between, found we had no privacy, you have to all stay in or go out, also there was no area were our dog could relax outside, not pet friendly at all, children outside on open green, we kept dog inside most of the time.”

Too far from amenites, driving most of the time. Then having to take all our rubbish to waste disposal few miles away 7euro, stripping down beds, cleaning and hoovering before we left was too much for me on holiday, would rather pay extra not worry about these jobs. I would say to anyone whom books this cottage bring all your food essentials of milk butter, bread, toiletries, there are no shops nearby, never met owners but seemed nice on phone, key left on mat. Owner requests credit card for 200 booking fee which was okay, electric is metered and needs to paid before you leave.

About the location

TACUMSHANE, COUNTY WEXFORD

Wexford 9 miles.

The small village of Tacumshane in County Wexford has a pub and restaurant, The Millhouse, and is home to the Republic of Ireland's only surviving windmill. Built in 1846, the timber used is thought to be beach driftwood or wood from the shipwrecks that were all too common in this coastal region. The windmill is now designated a national monument. Kilmore Quay fishing village is a few miles down the road, and there are some lovely beaches, ideal for relaxing and playing on the sand.
