“What a beautiful cottage!”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Margaret is a wonderful host. The scenery is amazing with views over the estuary.- Mcilwraith, March 2019
“We had a fantastic 2 weeks at An Tigin.”
The cottage is in a beautiful peaceful and tranquil setting on a farm...its very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our host Margaret was so welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful....full of chat...tips and ideas for exploring the area...its a gorgeous part of the world. Local beaches are stunning, our dog Beni loved them, as he did the grounds of Tintern Abbey. We also loved Wexford Town and Killkenny and Dungarvan.... we took the small car Ferry across to Co Waterford....it does save a bit of a drive and it's only 12 Euros return....there's so much to see and do!, Co Wexford, Waterford and Wicklow are Stunning! We would definitely stay at Margaret and Johns farm Cottage An Tigin again....no hesitation.....very friendly and it feels very homely with all the comforts you need for a great holiday...…...and it's lovely to be welcomed back each day by their dogs...….and 'Boots' is a real character. All in all...it was one of the best wee holidays we've had...can't fault it at all....Thank you for a great time guy's Gaz Tez And Beni Larne NI- Mr Johnston, September 2018
“We were very disappointed to arrive to find lots of tents, cars and noise in an adjacent small field.”
Not expecting that at all. We'd not read anything about an on site camp site. We did know about the camper van park further down by the sea as we'd visited the cottage and grounds last year. The cottage and location are lovely and to be fair next day all the tents and noisy people were gone. Our enjoyment of the place was spoilt by farm dogs roaming freely around which made our dog territorial - and a nervous wreck. As the heatwave was on we had to keep the door shut which was a shame. It would be good to gate the drive. Any non dog lover wanting to stay might be best warned in advance about the resident dogs. Their calling cards are all around the cottage garden/grounds. We cut our stay short although not because of this.- Mrs Bristow, June 2018
“Everything was much nicer in reality, View was beautiful, house has every thing you could possibly need.”
Warm and cosy in such a peaceful location so close to the sea. Thank you.- Ms Stefanazzi, April 2018
“We have stayed with Margaret a few times and as always she is the consummate host -nothing is too much trouble and if there are any glitches she or a member of her family will get them sorted asap.”
This location is food for the soul -so peaceful, restful and yet within striking distance of facilities, beautiful beaches and countryside-we couldn't recommend it highly enough-fab!!- Mrs Bradley, December 2017
“Very friendly owner, great view to the bay, nice area, we had a fantastic holiday”- Mr Szeimies, September 2017
