Rathmore Country House Cottages

Ashford 3 miles. Situated on the owner's working livestock farm in the townland of Rathmore, three miles from the village of Ashford, County Wicklow. Framed by the beauty of Rathmore Country House, the owners have crafted their own private townland in the expansive grounds, comprising 32 well-appointed self-catering cottages, varying in size, style and layout. Each of these lovely cottages has its own entrance, offering peace and privacy whenever you need it. All of the owner's properties are situated around a Georgian courtyard and benefit from the use of a children's playground, a barbecue area and a football pitch. Central to the majority of Wicklow's tourist attractions, and with Dublin so tantalisingly close, there are endless possibilities from these lovely cottages.

It is the perfect base for an Irish getaway, with easy access to the surrounding area and Ireland’s east coastline.

The rapidly expanding village of Ashford boasts good transport links, numerous pubs and restaurants, and plenty of things to see and do. With hourly bus transport links to Wicklow town and Dublin Airport, there is no shortage of opportunities for a great day out in Ireland. The Mount Usher Gardens and Arboretum can be found in Ashford, laid out along the River Vartry, which runs under and through the village, and with the Wicklow Way and mountainous backdrops close by, there is no shortage of walking on offer. Enjoy a day out at Brittas Bay; as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the proud owner of numerous Blue Flag awards, this pretty, unspoilt beach and its surrounding coastline offer beautiful landscapes and 5km of sand dunes to explore, not to mention perfect conditions for sailing, walking and sunbathing! Wicklow Gaol, one of the most haunted places in Ireland, and Powerscourt House and Gardens are only a short drive away. Try sailing, a boat trip from Wicklow Harbour along the east coast, or take a day trip into vibrant Dublin and visit the Guinness Storehouse and Gravity Bar, the highest bar in Ireland, or Dublin Castle. A perfect base for enjoying the Irish coast.
