Located just four miles from the village of Roundwood in the heart of County Wicklow, this delightful, fully detached cottage is set besides the owners’ own home, and dates back over 250 years.

Split into two buildings, this homely cottage near Roundwood is effortlessly characteristic and still retains many of its original features and artefacts, yet having being wonderfully renovated and furnished, provides an ideal base for friends and families exploring the east of Ireland.

In the main cottage you will find four comfortable bedrooms, three of which are on the ground floor, and one with French doors leading outside to the courtyard.

Step out into the warm morning sunshine with a cup of tea and soak up the sound of birds chirping, and fresh country air.

There is a shower room, and a bright and airy open plan living area hosting a kitchen, a dining area, and a sitting area boasting a woodburning stove.

Curl up together on chilly winter nights and reminisce over the day’s adventures, and plan tomorrow’s!

Originally meaning ‘The Causeway’, the quaint village of Roundwood in County Wicklow, ‘The Garden of Ireland’, is situated along the main route from Dublin to Glendalough and is home to a charming selection of shops and pubs. Roundwood, and the surrounding areas, are rich with woodlands, lakes and mountains, making this part of Ireland one of the most scenic. Lough Tay, one of the most photographed places in Ireland, is a hugely popular attraction and it is no wonder why, with mountain peaks, mirror like lakes and colourful foliage, it truly is iconic. The village of Roundwood, one of the highest villages in Ireland peaking at 238metres above sea level, is only a 25 minute drive to the delightful seaside town of Bray and roughly an hour from the capital.
