About the location

KILLAVULLEN

Mallow 6.6 miles; Cork 21miles.

Killavullen, meaning "the Church of the Mill" is a village situated on the River Blackwater, in County Cork. The village is located just south of the N72 road, is 6miles east of Mallow and 20 miles north of Cork city. The village is home a pub and a small shop, as well as a church which dates back to 1839. A short drive away is the market town of Mallow, the largest town along the stunning Blackwater Valley, offering bars, restaurants, shops and a Spa House. The old Mallow castle is set in the middle of the town, with the new castle situated behind, with white fallow deer in the grounds.
