Beehive Cottage

We had a lovely time at Beehive Cottage.

Bernie and her family were so helpful. The accommodation is very comfy and had everything we needed. The location was really perfect for exploring West Cork - great beaches close by and lovely wee towns.

Property is in a great location ideally suited for touring west cork.

Unfortunately it is extremely basic and dated, with very old unpleasant smelling furniture. Property is also very dirty and needs a complete clean. Owners were nice and helpful, but we didn’t feel we could raise the cleanliness issue as they lived next door.

This is a clean, spacious and well located holiday cottage with all amenities and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

This is our second time staying with the lovely host, we stayed in the other house previously.

Again we enjoyed our stay as we love the area and Harbour View Beach is a family favourite. House is comfortable and we had all we needed for our stay. We will be back and would recommend staying here.

Had a lovely stay in The Beehive Cottage.

Bernadette was lovely and friendly and willing to help with any queries. The cottage was perfect for our holiday needs, very spacious and had everything you needed. It was situated central to where we wanted to visit (Cork, Kinsale, Mizen etc) Great bonus for us was being able to bring our dog, as not many permit them. The proximity to the local beach was an absolute gem.

Great rural property ideally suited to visiting county Cork.

All the facilities needed to use as a base. Bernadette was absolutely lovely and very welcoming and will definitely stay again when visiting Cork. Place was really clean on arrival, beds comfortable, bathrooms clean with great showers and plenty of hot water. Heating excellent after a long day out and about. Plus plenty of parking. Lastly easy to find if you use the Eire code provided as it is really rural. Thank you very much Bernadette

Absolutely brilliant

Beehive Cottage is set in beautiful countryside, well positioned near the coast for Kinsale, Bandon, Clonakilty, Timoleague and there is a good supermarket/filling station within a ten-minute drive in Ballinaspittle.

The cottage is really comfortable and well provided with all the normal comforts central heating, wifi, most TV channels. We were made very welcome by the owner, Bernadette and she was most helpful with any queries we had. Overall a lovely holiday experience, thank you Bernadette.

We had a wonderful stay in Beehive Cottage.

4 adults and a toddler. Plenty of space inside and outside. The garden a massive plus, plenty of play area for our little one. Bernadette was a brilliant host. Very helpful regarding the surrounding area and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend a visit. The perfect accommodation to discover Cork and the surrounding area. Thank you

we very much enjoyed our stay in cork.

beehive cottage is very well located, in the countryside but within easy reach of all the delights of cork and surrounding area. it is a lovely property with everything you could possibly need provided, and the owner is very friendly and helpful. if we revisit cork, we will look no further than beehive cottage for our accommodation.

We really enjoyed our second stay at Beehive Cottage.

It was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. Mrs Fielding, Bernie, was very friendly, welcoming and gave us very helpful information about the local area. It was all magical from start to finish!

Easy to find if you put in postcode.

Ballinspittle village is nearby and has shops pub and restaurant. Liked the towns of Kinsale and Clonikilty. Also lovely beaches and walks on coast.

Comfortable cottage in a beautiful location.

The owner was very friendly too. Covid restrictions meant if our party were all double jabbed we didn’t need to swab or isolate which was a massive positive. Traveller locator form was the only other documentation we required. I would highly recommend a visit. Ireland is stunning and the people so friendly.

Comfortable homely cottage set in farming countryside, well equipped, friendly welcome, good location for touring

Beehive Cottage had everything we needed for our weeks holiday and the owner Bernie was so welcoming.

The cottage was very comfortable and spacious. Lovely sandy beaches within a couple of minutes drive. Beehive Cottage was the perfect location to explore Cork including a trip to Fota Wildlife Park, Kinsale and Spike Island. Also the surf lessons on Inchydoney Beach are highly recommended. We will definitely be back to stay at Beehive Cottage again.

This was a perfect holiday and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Beehive cottage is perfectly situated in beautiful countryside and coastline - and the cottage itself is fully equipped, very warm and cosy, and clean throughout. Bernadette is a lovely and welcoming host and makes you feel at home. There is lots to see and do nearby, and if the weather isn’t great the cottage has plenty of space to relax in. An excellent location and a perfect place to stay add up to a great holiday at Beehive cottage - thank you!

We have found the perfect base to discover the beautiful coastline around West Cork.

Bernie Fielding made us most welcome and was so helpful in giving us information about places to see. She was on hand if we needed anything. The cottage is also very near to Cork City which is both lively and stylish in equal measures.

Great welcome by the owner, really clean large house.

Excellent facilities. Gorgeous rose garden, large bedrooms, lots of storage Located very near to Ballinspittle and 15 minute drive from Kinsale. Large TV, comfortable clean beds, perfect for families. We had older kids but there was everything a family with young children would need. Fresh flowers and packet of biscuits laid out. The owners respected our privacy but were there when we forgot a key. Perfect hostess. Good value for money

Although a little way from the nearest facilities it was lovely and quiet yet a great base for a holiday on the Cork coast.

The facilities were fine and there was everything we needed for our stay. The house is very spacious and the gardens are lovely - although we did not sit out in the seating area as we were out and about so much. The sheepdog and his herd of cats was a lovely welcoming committee when we got back from a day touring. One suggestion we have is to provide an information pack explaining where everything is (e.g. local shops and facilities such as supermarkets etc.) and how everything works e.g.. the heating system and recycling / rubbish disposal- we worked them out (the smart TV was the biggest challenge) but written information would have helped. We would certainly recommend this cottage as it was comfortable and great value for money.

.

Well appointed cottage;perfect location for touring West Cork. Bernie our host added real value without being intrusive; she was friendly and informative.

Love this cottage, great host, clean, fab house.

.we staid here aswell last year and booked it again for this year loved it so much..

What a wonderful cottage, situated next door to Bernie, who was there if we needed her, but also not intrusive.

Really well appointed cottage and so warm., Cant wait to return.

Booked the cottage for a family anniversary - perfect location , Mrs Fielding very helpful and flexible and had the fire lighting for us when we arrived on Saturday evening.

Perfect!

We loved the location, the cosiness of the woodburner (and the beds) and the kindness of the host.

Great wee cottage. Stunning location.

This was a lovely cottage it was close to everything we wanted the beach and shops were a small drive away.

It was a warm cosy house. Bernie was very friendly and got us anything we needed. We would definitely recommend this house and if going to cork again would book it.

Lovely new super clean comfortable cottage in stunning countryside.

Bernie the host very helpful & willing. Met all of our needs. Would highly recommend!

This was a fantastic clean and spacious holiday cottage.

It is in a beautifully unspoilt area with beaches about a 5 minute drive away and lovely towns within easy reach to explore and shop. Further afield are whale and dolphin searching trips. The only downside is the listing says that power is included in rent. This isn't the case. There was some money in the meter at arrival but we needed to top up with 2 euro coins at least once a day. Not too much of a problem and wouldn't stop us from renting again but needs to be known.

Beehive Cottage is very well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washer drier, gas cooker and two showers.

There are three excellent sized bedrooms with good storage space. The cottage is perfectly located for tourist attractions. There is a beach and woodland walks within 15 minutes drive and a coastal walk within 30 minutes drive.

A lovely cottage with all of the facilities needed for a holiday.

With the warm weather all of bedrooms were a wonderful temperature with the windows giving great air and breeze when needed. Thank you for having us stay!
