“My wife and I stayed for a week at Carbury coast.”

The property was clean and easy to find. The lounge only has seating for 5 which is odd for a house capable of sleeping 10. The property was clean and easy to find. The lounge only has seating for 5 which is odd for a house capable of sleeping 10. There are only 6 permanent chairs around the dining table but there another 5 collapsible chairs. The kitchen cupboards and under the sink smells of damp and the kitchen tap is not securely fitted. The backdoor handle drops off if you pull the door to from the outside. The utility door was locked and no key is available, this would be dangerous in the case of a fire as the only way out is through the kitchen. There are no instructions for the central heating and one presumes the owners simply do not want you to use it. This is uncomfortable with our weather, as it is often chilly late evening or early morning. However in our case the holiday was saved by the weather turning warm. There is a huge crack in the bathroom floor running the length of the bathroom. The front bedroom floor has a gap in the flooring running the width if the bedroom. The shower over the bath is fixed with gaffa tape, the whole team assembly is loose and the electric shower head comes apart if the pressure is too high. The amenities say there is sky TV but none exists and you'll need your own subscription if you want to watch anything but the standard Irish channels available over the internet. Beware the downstairs toilet, the light is on a timer you press when entering, spend too long in contemplation and you'll be sitting in complete darkness. There is a note asking you to put the relevant bin out on Thursday but it doesn't tell you which is the relevant bin. Be careful of the hot water, the temperature is set extremely high. The dishwasher creacks and groans as you open and close it. Overall the property is usable but is poorly maintained.
