Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home where after a day full of exploration you can relax in front of the TV and gentle warmth of the crackling woodburning stove.
Later, step into the fully-equipped kitchen/diner to rustle up a hearty meal for the whole family which can be enjoyed at the table here or in front of the roaring open fire in the living/dining room.
After dinner, venture out to the rear decking where you can savour the last light over Ballintubbrid with a glass of wine in hand; don’t forget to raise a toast to your well-earned retreat.
When the evening is over, wash off the day’s adventures in the bathroom before retiring to one of five bedrooms; choose between a two doubles with en-suite shower room, a ground-floor double with en-suite shower room, a double and a family room with double bed and two single beds and en-suite shower room.
If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic setting take a day trip into the nearby village of Kilmuckridge where you can stock up on all of your necessities at the local store or treat the whole family to an evening out at Hammels Lounge and Bar or The Crosses Pub.
During the day take a short drive in Ballinamona Beach where you can while away the day on its golden shores and admire views across the Irish Sea while your dog runs freely.
Guests can also test out their swing at Blackwater Golf Course, see farm animals at Blackwater Open Farm, admire breath-taking views and scenic walks at the Raven Nature Reserve or tour the elegant Wells House and Gardens.

The house had everything that a family would require for a weeks holiday.
Having an en-suite in most of the bedrooms was a great bonus though one slight issue was the slow drainage and leak in one of the shower cubicles. Fantastic location central to many beaches and attractions such as Wells House and Curracloe beach with Uptons Hotel in Kilmuckridge for special occasions and a meal. Overall cannot fault Bolger House and would definitely consider spending another week there in the future.
Bolger House was so well equipped in the kitchen.
Also, two dining tables was very useful. Every room was spotless.
Fantastic place for a large family holiday home.
Everything you could have needed was there like large saucepans and knives that are sharp
