Old Field House

Recently returned from our week long stay at Old Field House.

We're a family of 5 with kids aged 3-10. Would highly recommend the accommodation and would happily rate it 5* on every aspect. Listing just a few of the positives in no particular order: comfy beds, amazing views, great location, so much space both inside and out, excellent decor and modern features, welcome pack info, communication with Paddy, toys already there for the kids to play with, smart TV's, the amazing kitchen, wash/dry facilities, cleanliness. Already looking at booking again next year, although I would note that current pricing on this site for June 2027 appears significantly higher than for 2026.

My wife and I thought we'd spoil ourselves on our self-catering holiday this year, after a difficult year for both of us in 2025, and we couldn't have found a better place than the Old Field House to do that in.

The place was palatial, much bigger than we actually needed, but like I said, we wanted to spoil ourselves this year. Everything about the place was magnificent; probably the best self-catering experience we've had in 15+ years. I can't imagine how anyone wouldn't be more than satisfied with even a few days here. And that's before you take into account the surrounding district and all the numerous things to do that there are, even if it's just a walk from the house all the way round to Hook head lighthouse. We loved it.

It is remote, but in a beautiful location in a County that has much to offer.

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway to unwind from the stressful life we are exposed to in today's society, then this is an option you should place at the top of your list. The property is very well eqipped and room sizes are good. Much thought has clearly gone into designing and providing a 'holiday home'.

Beautiful house,if you want peace and calm with a great view,this is the place.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our second visit to Old Field House this year, and once again it was absolutely incredible!

The views are simply stunning, and the house itself is beautiful, spacious, and so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. It’s the perfect place to relax and recharge. We will definitely be back!

Had such a great week, the property is so spacious and well furnished.

Beds, showers, kitchen equipment all top notch. The grounds were well kept, again huge. Fabulous location, lovely neighbours, peaceful. Fethard-On-Sea is a few miles away, really good shop, cafes, a great bakery, gorgeous bloke in the surf shop! Safe bays nearby to swim. Absolutely loved it. Thank you xx

It was a perfect place to stay & the house is perfect too.

We spent quality family time together & had space for the three generations to have their own space too. The views are lovely. Well worth a visit, memories were made. We hope to book again one day. Siobhan, West Sussex.

Beautiful spacious property in a lovely quiet location.

Extremely well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and great living areas. The only small negative would be that there was no outside seating in the front of the house., otherwise a perfect property which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Absolutely Stunning – A Modern Gem with Breathtaking Views!

Wow – we have never stayed anywhere so beautiful! Old Field House is simply out of this world. The house itself is modern, stylish, and designed to make the most of its incredible surroundings. And the sea views? Just breathtaking! Yes, it’s remote (about 15 minutes to the nearest Londis), but that’s part of the charm. The peace, the tranquillity, and the sheer beauty of the setting make it the perfect escape from everyday life. I have no idea how this is only rated 4 ticks on Sykes – it’s a 5-star experience all day long. Better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in,. We will definitely be back!

Paddy and Anne are fantastic and so helpful. Would highly recommend as both things in Waterford and Wexford very accessible so loads to see and do, and accomodations like a home from home. Everything one needs

Spotless. Great appliances. Fantastic cups, cutlery and utensils. Incredible view. Nicest holiday house we ever stayed in. Five star.

Incredible 10/10!

Paddy & Ann were brilliant hosts. Can’t fault a single thing from start to finish. Old Field House is genuinely the best place we have ever stayed. We couldn’t believe the attention to detail and how well equipped the house was! Our 1yr old daughter was so well catered for with endless supplies of toys and places to explore. The views are outstanding and we will miss seeing the harbour from the living room window. Everything was outstanding and we cannot wait to come back again next year.

This property was absolutely fantastic and better than the photos - it was just our dream home and it had everything we needed and more.

Thank you to the owners and to Paddy our host and contact person, who even left us a welcome pack plus milk in the fridge, we would recommend this to anyone. Thank you again.
