Lough Cluhir Cottage

The cottage is in a lovely spot up the hill from Union Hall.

The property is comfortable and well equipped with a shop and pubs in easy reach. Further afield it's a great jumping off point from Skibbeereen, Cork and Clonakilty.

Idyllic location, in a beautiful park of west cork.

Ideal base for exploring the coast, spacious and ideal for little ones. Kitchen well equiped and nice extra touches with outdoor/ beach toys available to borrow during our stay. Lovely having the cows in the field next to the cottage.

In a beautiful location. Equipped with everything you could need. Extremely comfortable and we were sad to have to leave.

The cottage was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed.

The enclosed garden was great for our dog. The owner had left detailed instructions and advice of places to visit, which we did. Was a great holiday, helped by the wonderful weather. Would definitely go back.

Everything you need for a relaxing break

This is clearly a much loved family holiday home making it have a home-from-home feel.

It is perfect for multi generational use, with a large secure garden. The bungalow is on the outskirts of Union Hall, is a peaceful haven and ideally placed to explore that beautiful part of Ireland.

What a wonderful cottage. Stunning scenery and not too far to travel to Skibereen for shopping. Large, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Fully enclosed garden that the pooch loved. Highly recommended

Lough Cluhir Cottage was very welcoming, the owner was fantastic accommodating us at short notice (saving our holiday).

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a great location for exploring the area. The information book was full of well written instructions and plenty of recommendations. Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic cottage , home from home so relaxing

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage.

Everything we needed was there, really comfortable and clean. Anne was available for any questions and was a great help. We had a wheelchair user and everything was perfect for him.

Another great stay at Lough Cluhir cottage.

A perfect home from home. The garden is great for our dog and the location is so quiet and relaxing. The house has been updated with new sofas and furniture and the photos don’t do it justice. Cannot fault this place and look forward to our next stay

We had a super stay at Lough Cluhir Cottage at the end of August with a week of fabulous weather.

House was super for 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog with everything you need and very well stocked. Really comfortable and a short hop into Union Hall for a lovely pint in Dintys. We explored all the local places and visited a different beach every day. Highly recommend the house and the area. Highlights were a day trip to Sherkin Island and delicious dinner in Glandore. We'll hope to be back very soon.

We’ve stayed at Loch Cluhir several times now, it was fantastic to return again and great to see new sofas and outdoor furniture.

From the easy to follow booking process, to the seamless check-in/check-out experience, our stay at the Lough Cluhir cottage was wonderful.

The location is rural and you will need to rely on the car for your day to day activities but it is close to lovely villages and major sights. The house is in excellent condition, offering a large, open plan area in the kitchen, living room. It feels like a home, rather than a holiday rental. Fast WiFi enabled us to work remotely from the cottage by day and and enjoy the views of the lake and cows on the fields. Whilst we had a couple of smaller issues with the plumbing, the owner went out of her way to make sure we got the help we needed. Strong Recommendation for anyone looking to escape to the country in a tranquil setting.

Lough Cluhir was so good, it had absolutely everything you needed. Very cosy with a log burning stove. The enclosed garden was brilliant for out doggie, he really enjoyed his stay too as he had such freedom.. Thanks again Sykes cottages, I have already recommended you to my friends.

The area is beautiful and so is the cottage, everything you need is there even a jacuzzi bath (we don't have this at home) Fast internet with which you can telephone around the world by installing the 'viber out'app.

There are lots of books and DVD's and lots of TV Channels or Netflix (with your own account) to make a choice of. From the cottage you can have a walk around the lake and enjoy the nature and when it's raining you can visit Skibbereen, Bantry, Clonakilty where you visit museum or historical houses. In the cottage you find a booklet which informs you very well about all the tourist and dining possibilities in the area. We wish you a happy stay in Lough Cluhir Cottage

this is a lovely comfortable cosy cottage.

It is well laid out, with a fully equipped kitchen, excellent wi-fi, a smart TV with netflix built in and an enclosed garden that was prefect for our dog. The location is very good, with lovely rural walks on the door step, close to a small village and easy access to the scenic sites of West Cork. we can recommend the local restuarants in Union Hall and Glandore. There is also a small fish shop in the village selling the fresh fish right of the boats that is wroth a visit. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend this cottage

Lovely house great location.

Gorgeous views. The owner has a really informative book completed which tells you everything you need to know about the house and local area. Loved the tips and recommendations. Would definitely consider going back.

An excellent location for a quiet holiday with water based activities close by.

You can't see it from the photos, but there is a great view of the lake from the front windows. Squince beach with local walks is highly recommended. Close to Union Hall and Leap. Skibbereen and Rosscarbery are only 15 minutes drive from the house.
