Granny's

A real home from home.

Granny’s was a cosy cottage but spacious. There were 6 adults plus 2 dogs and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Everything in Granny's was good quality and it was well kitted out with all the essentials. The location is perfect, so much to do within and around the area. Communication was brilliant and Lynne checked in with us to ensure everything was okay. We will definitely be back at some point

This is a fantastic haven, set in beautiful countryside, yet close to all amenities on the North Coast.

It is a superb, wonderfully equipped house that offers all home comforts. We love coming here!

Lovely house in a peaceful area, everything you could need was provided and the house itself was clean and tidy.

The host also left some essentials to start us off which was a nice touch. I would highly recommend to anyone for a break away!

It was in an amazing location with beautiful views. The facilities were great especially as we had 2 dogs. Would highly recommend!

After staying in other Hogans propertys we picked Granny's after seeing all the wonderful reviews and were really looking forward to our break away for the first week in March, however our experience doesn't seem to have matched the reviews we had read, and unfortunately we did leave underwhelmed.

The location was fantastic with everything you would want to visit a short drive away. The house was tidy with a lovely bath to soak tired muscles after a day exploring. There was a nice start pack with bread, butter, milk and biscuits. The directions on the website are good. It is easier to find the property arriving from the Bushmills direction as you can see the house from the road. We found the King bed to be extremely hard and neither of us slept well. As the sofa is actually the pull out sofa bed this was also hard and we did not feel cosy and comfy in the evenings. It was very disappointing and unexpected to find a lot of cupboard items out of date. There are fly catchers in the windows understandable on a working farm but maybe some of these should be changed after every stay. The boost button on the heat was great. It does take about 30 mins to heat up but then it is nice and toasty. If you are 6ft or over be aware the door frames are low, this doesn't seem to be called out in the house details. It might help to have some little artwork signs like the ones you have used to block the chimneys for over the downstairs bathroom and kitchen doors. If you are interested in stargazing it is the perfect place on clear nights to use one of the apps which will tell you what constellations and plants are above you. In Bushmills there is a lovely design centre with artists on the 1st floor, there is also a wonderful local butcher beside the art studio for anyone who wants to cook up a storm. Unfortunately we did not get to meet our hosts during our week. We would come back to the area as there is so much to explore, the causeway is just a 2 mile stroll along the railway line from the station in Bushmills, however we don't feel we would return to this property.

This property is maintained to a high standard and suitable for all year occupancy, being warm and comfortable even in December.

Never having seen a lit shoe rack I am inclined to install one at home. Off road parking is more than adequate. The only suggestion is to have clearer signage at the end of the avenue but we only overshot the entrance once. Highly recommended accomadation. Our thanks to the hosts of this holiday let.

This is a great house, in a very peaceful location but very close to all the places to visit on the North Coast.

It was a comfortable warm house and so well equipped. As we were there on the run up to Christmas the house was decorated which was a very nice touch. There were a few things left to start us off which were very welcome.

This house was in a great location for us and is peaceful, being just outside the village of Bushmills.

This was my second stay at Granny's (two years apart) and this time I didn't feel just as comfortable. The bathrooms and the house generally felt clean but there are some areas that I feel could be improved on. The furnishing have not changed since I was last there and I felt the likes of the bathmats, bedding and sofa cushions were a bit tired, the rug in the living room needs a good clean and the tea towels were grim and I just wouldn't have used them. The other thing was that there was one cupboard for food and it was full of half used packets left behind by others. The freezer was the same. Some things are ok to keep, like salt or sugar but half eaten tubs of ice cream that could have been eaten straight out of the packet with a spoon should have been disposed of.

Excellent, comfortable holiday cottage in the middle of the Antrim North countryside.

Clearly a good deal of time and effort has been made to bring the property up to a very high standard of comfort and cleanliness. Excellent facilities within the cottage in terms of kitchen, bathrooms, and a laundry room if required

Very clean, spacious and well equipped. Giant's Causeway, Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle etc only a few minutes away.

Granny's is a fantastic house offering countryside peace and quiet and very close to all the sights of the North Coast.

It is marvelously appointed with every home comfort and wonderful, helpful hosts. We cannot recommend it enough as a holiday destination. If you're looking for somewhere to have a relaxing, happy holiday close to fantastic beaches, great walks and superb restaurants then this is the place for you.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location.

Ideal for us visiting Ireland for the first time as we were able to view areas around the house as well as going further within the same day. The house made it a lovely stay for the whole family. My 3 year old loved being in the garden at the front and watching the vehicles going up and down the road. My baby loved being outside in the shelter of the sun too. Over all we had a truly lovely two weeks stay and will definitely be back at some point in the future.

A well stocked cottage which had everything we needed for a comfortble stay.

We had the most wonderful week at Granny’s, we were met by the lovely Lynne who couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home from home.

The rural location meant we were blessed with quiet surroundings and animals a plenty enjoying the pastures around the property. The cottage was really clean with spacious rooms and bathrooms, a big bath upstairs and power showers in both bathrooms. Bedding was lovely and clean and the kitchen had room enough for the family. Granny’s was a great base for us to discover the sites and trails of the Giants Causeway Coast, as well as visit family in nearby Ballymoney. As many others have done, we left some Tips for Travellers in the guest book in the kitchen. Thoroughly recommended!

Loved the place.

Great location, comfy beds, clean and tidy. The only thing missing was a cosy fire for the colder darker nights but that’s not an issue for the warmer months. A*

Close to popular attractions in beautiful surroundings.

Great house and location with access to fantastic beach’s and sites to see only minutes drive away.

House is well equipped with everything you would need. House is off a busy road but far enough off the road that you can’t hear the traffic but the road isn’t suitable for walking dogs or snail children.

Upstairs more homely than downstairs, particularly the dining area which felt a little utilitarian.

Terrible damp in kitchen/ dining area outside walls. Would benefit from sun umbrella to be used with table outside and more relaxing outside furniture to enjoy the better weather. On the plus side the property was spacious, well located, spotlessly clean with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. The shower upstairs was excellent (didn’t use shower downstairs) and it was handy to have parking right next to property.

Great property at a good location for visiting the Giant’s Causeway and the coast.

It’s on a working farm and close to the cattle barn which may be an issue for some. The facilities were really good. There was a well stocked kitchen and Angela made sure we had the essentials on arrival. We had comfortable beds and nice hot showers. It was handy to have use of the washing machine in the garage. It would have been nice to have a radio in the kitchen. Thanks for a great stay!

A beautiful home, super comfy beds and wonderfully appointed bathrooms.

Warm and inviting and very well stocked with everything you need for a weeks stay on the causeway. Bushmills had everything we needed and we were in easy reach of so many places. Our two children woke up this morning and said ‘we really miss Granny’s’. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A good location for exploring all of Northern Ireland’s coast & cities, and within easy access of local amenities.

Lovely little cottage.

Very clean and well presented. Overall we enjoyed our stay. There is a problem with damp on the external wall in the kitchen which they are aware of and this did cause a bit of a smell if the windows were closed. Although we understood that the cottage is on a working farm we were a little disappointed that there is nowhere to walk the dogs from the cottage and think this should be mentioned in the details. It would also be handy to have a stair gate to prevent animals and children getting upstairs.

Great comfortable holiday let.

With everything you need. Cosy and warm. Quiet and peaceful area and very relaxing but still close enough for local amenities. Owners are very nice and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful, host Alwyn was very helpful and accommodating, the cottage was as described, in a lovely setting, nothing lacking, it was perfect for us and our two dogs.

Spotlessly clean and stylish too. Very close to beaches some being only 7 minutes away by car , We will be back most definitely so much to see and do there along the giants causeway coastal route which is stunning. We had a great time exploring the area and fisheries and having such a nice place to stay made it. Thank you so much to Alwyn & Lynn.

What a gem in the Northern Irish countryside.

A very comfortable and spacious cottage with all the mod cons that made our stay a very pleasurable one.
