The property

This excellent, semi-detached bungalow is situated on the outskirts of the quiet village of Carndonagh, on the striking Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal. Well-furnished and in an ideal location, this property offers the benefits of being a comfortable holiday home to retreat to after a day exploring all that County Donegal has to offer, whilst also being close to amenities. This property is set all on the ground floor and as you enter the cottage to your right you’ll find three spacious bedrooms, one twin leading to a king-size double, as well as a further double. Turn to your left and you’ll enter the lovely sitting room, a cosy space in which to spend time with your loved ones, as you warm your hands by the open fire, whilst reminiscing about the day’s adventures. At the rear of the house there is a well-equipped kitchen, as well as a splendid dining room, a great place to enjoy a celebratory meal, or if the weather’s bright and sunny, dine alfresco on the patio with a glass of something cool in hand. A stroll down the road will take you to Carndonagh, a characterful little village where you can pick up supplies in the range of shops, have a drink in a local pub, or enjoy a meal out together as a family in the selection of restaurants. Hop in the car and drive out to Malin Head, the most northerly point in Ireland, with its golden sands and craggy cliffs. You could also pull on a pair of walking boots and have your camera primed for the breathtaking views the Inishowen Peninsula has in abundance. For a more leisurely pursuit, revel at one of the festivals held in the area, or enjoy some foot-tapping traditional Irish music. You can also go fishing, try your hand at watersports and even indulge in a pony trek amongst stunning scenery. The Wild Atlantic Way, where foaming waves lap sandy shores, is just waiting to be explored, whilst the superb towns of Letterkenny, Buncrana and Donegal are all worth visiting. For a real adventure, why not take a short drive across the border to Northern Ireland and immerse yourself in all the culture of the city of Derry? A really lovely property in an excellent location, perfect for exploring the wild and rugged north west of Ireland. Note: The property can be booked with Ref. 928919, together they sleep 8.
