    “Communication with Sykes Holiday Cottages was swift and effective although our question to the property owner remained unanswered.”

    This had concerned fuel meter charges, however we found this to be fair and extremely reasonable. The property was well located for our needs, clean, tidy and well equipped. We enjoyed the surroundings and great views from the lounge and some of the bedrooms. There was a frequent and reliable daily bus service to Galway and surrounding area from Carraroe. Some aspects of the property however, such as the bedroom furniture, would benefit from updating but this did not detract from the ...

This lovely, large detached bungalow is situated just a stone’s throw from the village of Carraroe, in the heart of south Connemara in County Galway.

Your delightful cottage is ideally located for visiting this part of the Emerald Isle.

Suitable for both families and groups of friends, this welcoming cottage boasts five bedrooms, including two that have king-size double beds, and there’s a bathroom and shower room available.

The living accommodation part of this cottage offers a well-equipped kitchen/diner, and there’s also a dining room, where you can enjoy delicious home-cooked meals after a busy day exploring the area.

The comfortable sitting room boasts a warming open fire, so why not relax in front of it with a good book and drink on a chilly day or evening?

From the lawned garden are glorious views of the bay, and Carraroe has a well-stocked local supermarket and deli, as well as traditional pubs.

Lettermore, Lettermullen and Gorumna are the surrounding islands and all offer unspoilt scenery in abundance.

Within driving distance are the wonderful Connemara National Park, the bustling city of Galway and Kylemore Abbey and Gardens, which are all well worth a visit.
