Brandy Harbour Cottage

I love the location.

The conservatory is very relaxing. The host left mklk tea coffee and butter which was nice. I would recommend this lovely cottage and the one attached. Its our third time at this location

Brandy Harbour is a beautiful little spot to stay in.

Within easy reach of lots of places to visit. The cottage itself is very comfortable with everything you need to make the stay memorable.

The property was warm and comfortable and the owners were friendly and helpful.

The internet was very poor. We like the property for its comfort and its position - we didn’t mind the lack of internet or tv but please (this is to all owners) check cooking utensils to establish they fit for use, after all these are self catering rentals. Brandy cottage had one frying pan which we considered unhealthy to use while the other had completely lost its non-stick element making it difficult to use. We would use the property again if we wanted to visit the area again.

Really well maintained property in a great location if you like peace and quiet.

Not too far though to good grocery shops and restaurants. As the owner lives next door that’s a bonus if a problem arises albeit there weren’t any. Would recommend Brandy Harbour Cottage without hesitation.

Beautiful place

This is about our 6th stay at the cottage.

It’s clean, comfortable and welcoming. It’s only a short journey to the village of Kinvara, or in the other direction, the city of Galway. A perfect location for touring. As the saying goes, We’ll be back.

Very nice lovely cottage with very friendly owners!

To recomand!

Lovely cottage in a great location.

Had everything we needed for our stay.

+ cheminée et veranda + pas assez de vaisselle

Location of cottage was unclear in information particularly in directions from main road.

Excellent cottage and lovely, much appreciated welcome pack.

Lovely cosy kitchen, diner and lounge area. Great location and it lovely to go for a walk in the evening up to the harbour. Would certainly return

We had a fabulous stay at the cottage.

Everything we could need was provided for us so that we felt comfortable as soon as we walked in; so much so that we were loath to leave at the end of our stay! We loved the peaceful setting, the beauty of the surrounding area, and the ease of visiting the nearby villages and Galway City - it really was the perfect break for us! An absolute gem as far as we are concerned!

Lovely cottage by the sea.

May be a little off the beaten track for some but a real home from home. Well furnished and equipped and Mattie is a very caring host.

Great location with lovely views and walks around the cottage.

Very comfortable and relaxing stay at a great price. Owner came by a couple of times to check if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend

We had a lovely time at Brandy Harbour Cottage.

It was super cute and perfect for two friends traveling. I booked the cottage because of the sunroom and it was my favorite spot to curl up with book during some down time. As far as location, we were well situated near Galway for a quick visit and exploring the Burren. On a push, we traveled to Doolin to catch the ferry to Inis Mor. Mattie was friendly and welcoming and super helpful with our questions. And there are horses in the field behind the cottage sometimes. :)

Beautiful cottage with incredible scenery in all directions.

Owner very helpful

This is a lovely ground floor apartment in a cute cottage.

There is ample carparking and a lovely outdoor area. The location is so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed daily walks down to the pier. Kinvarra and futher into the Burren are within 15min drive in one direction and Galway about 30min in the other. Lovely spot and we really enjoyed our stay.

Mattie and Susan's cottage is a little piece of heaven on earth.

Set in the most idyllic location on a tiny bay, with views across to The Burren. A 10min walk take you to a small harbour, but this time with views across to Galway and beyond. The cottage has pretty much everything you need and is tastefully furnished. Ideally located for exploring Galway (30 min drive to the city centre), The Burren (30 mins), The Cliffs of Moher (1 hr) and Connemara National Park (1 h 30 mins). The small village of Kilcolgan is a short drive away and has a store, a couple of pubs and a petrol station. Mattie and Susan were so welcoming and did everything to make our stay a relaxing one. Will definitely be returning one day.

Lovely cottage and surroundings.

.. Friendly host... Great for exploring Galway...

Friendly welcome and very nice place.

We had an amazing stay in the Brandy Harbour Cottage.

It is a lovely little cottage just outside Ballinderreen. It's in a real quiet area so there's lots of peace and comfort. And it's also so close to Oranmore or Galway for day trips. We will definitely hope to return next year. The hosts were lovely and very close by if needed.

Thank you so much for a welcoming and pleasant stay at your Brandy Harbour Cottage property.

Everything was clean and well maintained and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks again!

The cottage suited our needs well, it was very clean had all the equipment and facilities we required.

Susan and Mattie were nearby, and were very friendly & helpful with local advice. If you are looking for an Irish cottage in an idyllic location by the sea, then this is a great spot. Ideal for exploring the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely property set in a most tranquil location.

Everything that you want for a relaxing break in a beautiful part of Ireland.

This was our 4th stay here, that says it all.

Highly recommended. 5 star accomodation and a friendly owner

Lovely ground floor apartment within a cottage, situated approximately 15 miles south of Galway.

Very warm accommodation, with lovely sun room at rear. Quiet location. Close proximity to Galway and the impressive Burren national park. We enjoyed our stay.

The house had everything we needed.

The views are amazing from all windows. The owner was very helpful as well.

Fantastic cottage

Cosy, comfortable and in a beautiful and peaceful location.

A great place for a holiday stay.

All you could want. We have been coming to Ireland for 28 years, and this is the one to beat! This is our 3rd visit and will not be our last. Highly recommended. The owners, Mattie and Susan are to be congratulated.

Myself and my husband really enjoyed our holiday in Brandy Cottage.

The location is ideal... The roads are very narrow, that is the only downside but we got used to them. Kind Regards

Brandy cottage is delightful.

The location is perfect, sea on both sides and a beautiful shoreline to explore. The cottage was clean and tidy with a homely feel. Thank you Matty and Susan.

The advertising of this property was somewhat misleading.

The advertising gave the impression that this cottage was one property when in fact it is two apartments. One on the ground floor and one partially on both the ground floor and first floor. There is an issue here that the advertising standards authority needs to investigate.

When you are not from the area it is a little tricky to find but once we got there it was grand.

Initially I thought it was a one floor cottage but it is split in two. (Maybe I misread the description). On first impression it wasn’t very clean but after a quick going over it was grand. The owner was a lovely man and it was handy that he lived next door, although we didn’t need anything during our stay, but I’m sure he would have helped if needed. Really enjoyed the log burner in the evening time which was a plus from me. When I got used to the idea of others being upstairs it was a great week away. The views are lovely and two horses where in the back field during our stay. I would recommend to others and would also go back to this cottage if I was ever going that way again as it central between Galway and Clare. Great time and great journeys around the area.

Mattie excelled in ensuring all was brilliant at the cottage and very welcoming.

We loved the cleanliness and the welcome pack. We would very readily return. We felt too that the owners were generous in leaving us things that we needed such as washing powder etc. And we loved the horses in the field at the bottom of the garden. I highly recommend and thank you Mattie for everything. We will be back!! One suggestion.....I think your advertising is a bit misleading. We didn’t see on the advert that the cottage was divided into two apartments. It really is important you as an agency say that up front. We were lucky as the people in the second one were quiet. D. We had an absolutely fabulous holiday.

The cottage was even nicer than we expected and the owners are very nice, friendly and helpful. The location is great as it is quiet with very friendly neighbours but also a great place to base yourself to explore both Clare and Galway. We will definitely go back. So delighted with our find.

Beautiful house and a great location.

Thanks for your hospitality . Hope to be back soon.

The cottage is beautifully located on a bay of the ocean in a quite area.

A simple house but with all the facilities you need. We made great trips in the area.

Comfortable cottage in a beautiful setting.

We were well looked after by the hosts and had a lovely relaxing holiday. Lots to do , even when it rained. And it did! We will definitely book again.

This is the first property I have rented using your service.

Not only the experience with Sykes but the reception and friendly assistance from the owner was above and beyond anything expected. Without reservation I would recommend this property to anyone. Ray Smith

easy booking reminders about payments well in advance cottage was as described very good detail in description of facilities beautiful location very helpful owner next door lots of tourism brochures in the cottage Sykes on line guide to trips in Galway was very useful

Fantastic cottage in a great location, very helpful and friendly owners.

Great cottage in fabulous location

We really enjoyed staying in this cottage!

It has everything you need and the surrounding landscape is absolutely beautiful. It is not far from Galway City, the Burren, Connemara, the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands.....so there is a lot to do and a lot to see! Highly recommended!

The location of this property was great.

We liked that it was away from the city so we wouldn't have to deal with city traffic and noise, but it was close enough we could go in with no problem. Very convenient for day trips to Cliffs of Moher, Burren, and Connemara National Park. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and hosts came over to introduce us to the amenities (changing heating, wifi, laundry, and stove). Very enjoyable and would definitely book again!

We spent a week here and found it exactly as described and very comfortable.

This was an ideal location to base ourselves to explore some of the West Cost of Ireland. Highly recommended.

We were so happy to find little things that made us feel so welcome: We found tea and coffee ready to be made when we arrived and when we opened the fridge we found a bottle of milk and butter.

The children were delighted to be able to have their hot chocolate in the morning when they woke up and we could have our cup of tea before leaving to visit and make some more shopping. The owner was very nice, even at the first phone call. That made us really looking forward to go there and when we met him he was so easy-going that evrything became so simple. We really enjoyed our time there. The cottage has fantastic surroundings ! We have spent such a great week ful of lovely walks and landscapes !

Brandy Harbour Cottage was lovely.

Extremely clean, well cared for cottage with everything that you could possibly need at a self-catering cottage. The owners are very helpful and live nearby. The location was exactly what I was looking for, by the sea, and very quiet. Overall we had a relaxing holiday and are looking at returning in the future.

The location was everything we hoped for and more.

Peace and quiet, views and ease to get elsewhere in Counties Galway and Clare exceeded our expectations. Beds were really comfortable and wifi was an added bonus. Would recommend and we would love to return. Anyone with walking disabilities (like my husbad) will find this propery perfect. Doors were wide enough to take a wheelchair too.
