No.1 Apt, Brandy Harbour Cottage

Really nice holiday apartment, clean, excellent facilities, nicely situated very close to the sea with easy access to the Burren and Galway City (apart from the traffic these days).

We will very likely return at some point.

A beautiful, well kept cottage in a lovely peaceful location.

Birdlife on the estuary wonderful! Many thanks to Mr & Mrs Larkin for a memorable holiday.

This was a lovely place in a beautiful setting and we enjoyed our stay.

Homeowner took the time to come by and interrupted himself and told us not to hesitate to let him know if we needed anything. Location was convenient to Galway City(30 minutes) and an easy drive to Connemara,Burren and Doolin/ Cliffs of Moher.. I can highly recommend this lovely, modern accomodation.

Lovely comfortable property with all amenities.

Could do with a grab rail by the bath though but that's the only negative. Lovely location and helpful owners.

We had a great stay at this holiday home.

it is well appointed and all you will need for an excellent holiday is provided. The kitchen is well-equipped and you can cook decent meals. Shower is good and central heating is provided. The bedrooms are a generous size and we had a comfortable stay with three adults. Maybe one more seat in the lounge area would be good, but this is an excellent cottage and represents really good value for money. Oh, and the view over the estuary to the hills is fantastic!

Great appartement (half of a house), at 10min from Kinvara.

The location is beautiful, even if it's necessary to have a car, the first shops are at 5km. The owners are lovely, answer fast and care about our confort, they are neighbours to the house (50m) so it's reassuring.

A lovely cottage, very clean and well equipped.

Huge bedrooms, very comfortable bed. Good shower. Huge second bedroom too. Downstairs probably not big enough for 4, suited 2 just fine

A lovely location with plenty of places to see and a variety of walks.

Recommend visiting Coole Place first. It's free to visit and their exhibition is brilliant. They will also give you a map of other local highlights.

A lovely cottage and beautifully furnished.

The main bedroom is very large and stunning, with lovely views. We do like to cook where we stay, so a good supply of kitchen utensils, pots and pans would’ve been good, with sharp knives.

We had a great time staying at this cottage.

Its situated in a beautiful area within a short walk to a pier. It's a great location for exploring the area. Mattie the owner came to welcome us when we arrived and was available for any queries. We had a great holiday and would definitely stay here again

We really enjoyed our stay at No 1 Brandy cottage ( the folk in No 2 had cancelled so we had no one staying next door).

The cottage was extremely comfortable with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Mattie, the owner, who lives next door was very friendly and helpful. The view from the cottage is very beautiful looking down the sea Loch and we enjoyed the short walk to the pier ( We didn’t partake of the wild swimming on offer there but enjoyed watching a couple of braver souls ). We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Burren, and a walk along the impressive Cliffs of Moher, as well as a short visit to the museum in Galway and a walk along the river from there to the cathedral. All in all we would thoroughly recommend a holiday to Ireland and Brandy cottage is a perfect base. A car is essential.

It was a wonderful experience we both loved it

We had a wonderful week in a wonderful cottage in a stunning location.

The cottage and its facilities were perfect for us, and Mattie & Susan could not have been nicer. All in all, a perfect holiday in a perfect place, which is highly recommended.

The apartament it was lovely and clean.

I will definely came here again. It was exactly like in photos.

Lovely clean cottage and good value.

Lots of information provided e g, information leaflets / map / restaurants, taxi number etc.. nice quiet location. Excellent facilities, thought of nearly everything including corkscrew, tea / coffee / milk and butter provided, could of used scissors and hairdryer.

Could not fault this beautiful cottage.

Our host came to welcome us and make sure we were settled in. The views around the cottage are stunning and made the whole stay wonderful.

The property was spotlessly clean on arrival and we soon felt at home.

We had apartment 1, which was a combined kitchen/sitting room downstairs and two large bedrooms upstairs and a decent sized bathroom. The view from the upstairs bedroom windows was superb on a sunny day. The whole apartment is tastefully furnished. Plenty of space for car parking and a short walk down to the pier. The cottage is in a beautiful location, well away from any busy roads, very quiet and peaceful. There is almost no light pollution and we witnessed jaw dropping displays of stars on a few nights. We also saw some amazing sunsets with clouds ablaze, reflected in the adjacent water. The main road is a few minutes drive away through narrow lanes which bring you out by Jordan's Bar. Nice crowd of regulars in there and a wide range of beers and shorts available. The Guinness is kept spot on. Highly recommended. The cottage is in a good central location from which to explore further afield. We spent two weeks there, we relaxed, enjoyed the homely accomodation, enjoyed the splendid location and had a great holiday.

Great holiday cottage set in beautiful surroundings.

The downstairs is quite compact but upstairs is really spacious - sofa and easy chairs providing extra space if needed. The open plan set up was perfect for us as a family with young children who want to stay with us all the time. Good communication with the owner who has also kindly agreed to post a toy lion that we forgot back to us! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Was a lovely week we had in Galway.

Of course it rained again but nothing the correct clothing couldn't handle. The cottage was a bit more remote than expected but we had no trouble finding it. The owner Mattie came over for a quick hello when we arrived and explained everything to us. We had enough space for 4 people, hot water, washing machine, microwave. Pretty much everything you need. While the cottage itself is in a quiet area (pier where the road literally ends is nearby) it only takes a few minutes and you are on the N67 with plenty to discover in the nearby villages and area. Whether it's a trip up to Galway City, The Burren or even down a bit to the Cliffs of Moher. Nothing is really far away. Great location and holiday home for a small family.

What a beautiful little gem of a cottage.

Great facilities, comfy bed and what a lovely stay. No problems and thank you for the welcome pack. Fab location and a nice walk to the harbour. Would definitely book again.

A pleasantly situated and compact property which is a good base for exploring Clare and Galway.

With a sea view, the apartment has two large bright upstairs bedrooms and a compact downstairs living area which was fine for two but could be tight for a larger group. Some noise audible from the adjoining apartment. Friendly owner lives in house next door. Pleasant seaside walk to local pier from front door.

Very comfortable and well appointed accommodation in a peaceful location.

Useful off road car parking space near front door. Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and a warm welcome from the friendly owner. Excellent base for exploring the Galway area.

A nice cottage right on the waterside.

Friendly and helpfull owners, living in the house next door.

Wonderful location and comfortable accommodation.

Prospective renters should be aware that noise from the adjoining apartment can be heard.

Wonderful siting of this property.

A view in a million. Property owners very friendly. Thoroughly recommend this property

A lovely and charming cottage full of light and a fresh sea breeze outside - with windows facing the beautiful bay.

A very calm and peaceful place in which you are woken up by the song of sea birds. Two beautiful and big enough rooms upstairs. The cosy room downstairs invites you to sit, talk, eat and play games at the big kitchen table for hours. The children enjoyed it all very much! A good place to start your tours of Galway and county Clare from. The property owners next door are extremely friendly and helpful when needed - we thank you very much for our unforgettable stay in Brandy Harbour Cottage!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment.

The bedrooms are big and have a nice view over the water. It is very quiet and gradually woke up every day to the singing of all kinds of birds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay.

Perfect spot for chilling and exploring. Warm and comfortable. Very relaxing.

Beautiful property.

.lovely friendly and very helpful owners

The most beautiful cottage in the most awesome setting right near the water, down a little lane where all the locals go and swim off the pier at high tide

A lovely apartment in a lovely area, but the kitchen/sitting area would not comfortably seat four people.

Also more cutlery and china would be useful as there was not enough for us to use the dishwasher.

This is a nice place.

There is everything you need and the owner is helpful and friendly. The location allows you to easily get north to Galway or south to the walks in the Burren. Opposite the cottage is a small inlet with attracts a wide range of birds as the tide changes.

The Cottage was very comfortable and well presented and equipped.

We had everything we needed. The owner was very pleasant and called to welcome us and again when we were leaving. It is a quiet and peaceful location which is exactly what we were looking for. The owner had left tea, coffee, milk and butter for us on arrival which was a very nice touch. Excellent value for money and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Would have happily stayed longer at Brandy Harbour Cottage, a lovely quiet spot and a great place to feel at home in.

A light and airy cottage, quickly gets warm and cosy on a cold day. Very nicely decorated and furnished, with fab views of the water. We had everything we needed in the cottage. A really good base to sight-see from, with spacious and easy parking. Nice morning & evening walks. Easy and friendly communication with owners. Hope to stay again sometime. Thanks very much!

A Wonderfull House.

It was cleaned and lovley. The owners are very friendly. It was a beautiful place for my Vacation

Everything and everyone was brilliant.

I'm sure that we will come back.

Peace

Beautiful location near a local harbour.

Short drive to Kinvara which has fantastic restaurants and a supermarket.

The cottage is beautifully furnished.

It is absolutely clean and very cosy. We immediately felt at home. The house is also equipped with everything you need. We spent a week there with our 9 month old daughter and enjoyed it very much. The landlord Mattie is very nice and helpful. We can recommend the house 100%.

Great

This is an a wonderful little cottage to retreat to from the world, quiet secluded yet within a short drive to shop facilities or Galway town itself, the owner Mr Larkin is a gentleman and my wife and I look forward to returning again and again

The apartment was beautiful in a gorgeous setting, we loved the area and the apartment.

We loved The cottage, there was everything we needed there.

The views were amazing and it was in a perfect location to explore the Wild Atlantic way. Such a relaxing & peaceful week.

This apartment was lovely and very comfortable.

It had everything you would want in a holiday home and the owner was really helpful and welcoming. The location is beautiful and you can walk to the small harbour which is very pleasant. However there’s no amenities in walking distance so be prepared to get in the car if you want a shop or pub. The only thing that could be improved was the living area was quite small in comparison to the lovely spacious bedrooms. With 3 adults & a toddler it would have been better to have a bit more living area space. However this didn’t spoil our holiday.

The owner of the cottage was very welcoming and accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The views were breathtaking - we could watch the tide come in and out from the cottage window. A lovely, enjoyable, and restful holiday.

Absolutely wonderful location right by the sea.

Really friendly owner and lots to do on your doorstep.

We rented this property for just a few nights rather than stay in a hotel It was our first time renting a property for this reason however the process was simple and straightforward The property was first class and exceeded our needs The owner Mattie visited us shortly after our arrival and made us feel very welcome The local village / pub is a short walk (20 mins) from the property We had a very nice relaxing time and would not hesitate to return

Great holiday!

The location and house were ideal and we all really enjoyed our time.

The cottage is in a wonderful location - bring binoculars to appreciate the local wild life.

The cottage is very comfortable we had a lovely relaxing holiday

Lovely cottage located in a beautiful tranquil area, well equipped and had everything we needed for a very comfortable and pleasant stay.
