Corrib, a delightfully thatched holiday cottage in the picturesque County Galway, is a wonderful choice for families or friends that have a taste for countryside adventure.
This property hosts a rustic interior, with an inviting open fire for those colder evenings when you want your feet up in front of the TV.
Upon entering, you will be greeted by the fully-fitted kitchen, allowing the chef of the group to cook up a feast for you to all share around the dining table before planning your next trips.
After you and your four-legged companion have been busy enjoying walks amongst the exceptional views of the hills, take the weight off with a soak in the bath, or a steamy rinse under the shower before turning in for the day.
The bedrooms are comprised of two doubles and one twin, all with enough room for you to catch your rest before heading out fresh and ready the next day.
With so many attractions to explore, from Corrib cruises which provides day trips on the lake, to the Glengowla mines and Corrib kayaks as well as the Wildlands activity park in the close by village of Moycullen for the kids, indulge you and your loved ones to a break away at Corrib.

We loved our stay at Corrib Cottage.
The views were stunning. The house was very comfortable, clean, and homey.
Corrib is in a group of 7 thatched white painted holiday cottages but there is lots of space between them.
There have been upgrades to the property since the listing, so it would be good if the information could be updated. The kitchen looks new and has a washer/ drier and dishwasher. The downstairs shower room has also been updated with a white suite. The property is spacious and could accommodate 6 people in 3 bedrooms. It would be great if the local farmer allowed people using the cottages to walk up the hill past the cottages, but access to the countryside is generally limited in ROI outside of the National Parks. A couple of electrical sockets ( bedrooms) weren't working, so they need checking and repairing. An EV charger shared amongst the 7 cottages would be very handy as we had to drive into Galway city to charge the car. A really enjoyable stay, thanks.
Overall, we had a lovely time at Corrib.
The cottage is obviously old and you have to be prepared for that. However, we were warm. The hot water was VERY hot. A number of items were left for us as a welcome pack, which was appreciated. The house has a number of quaint features and we loved the sense of isolation and waking up to sheep grazing around us. The reason for not giving it top rating in categories is that some of the facilities were below expectation. 3 things in particular: the advertised microwave oven did not work. I left a voicemail message to the owners but they did not reply. Also, the pedestal basin had a hole in it which meant that water poured onto the floor when I tried to fill the basin. We had not been warned about this and it needs to be repaired. Finally, the kitchen drawer fronts are not all secure and, again, these need a simple repair job so that they do not fall off and detract from a lovely cottage.
