Moybella Lodge

We were met there by the owner.

He was most welcoming and ensured that we had a relaxing holiday. Our comfort and well being were his main concern. We would nothesitate in recommending Moybella Lodge.

Maurice was kindness itself, only interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible .

. He is a mine of information about the area and the best ways to get there. Nothing was too much trouble and he went over and above to make our stay the best. Lovely to meet Angela as well. A lovely couple.

It was a very pleasant stay in a very good accommodation!

The owners of the accomodation were both very friendly and kind. They gave us good tipps for interesting points to visit or restaurants for a good dinner. The also informed us about a nearby possibility to buy fresh fish. We very much enjoyed the calm place and the nice view from our accommodation. Moybella Lodge is a wonderful place for a holiday and we would be very happy to come back another time for a further stay We also will recommend the accommodaton to friends of us, who also plan a visit to Ireland!

As we arrived upon the property we had a very warm friendly welcome from Morris and Angela, Morris showed us in the property with direction how everything works.

We soon settled into our home from home this was perfect for us both all one level with easy accessibility (me using crutches). You can hear the odd car going pass as we had windows open all the time of our visit. Everything works perfectly as it should with any issues if you have any nothing you can not speak to either Morris or Angela. We are planning a return visit soon if availability will let us .

Had a wonderful stay at Moybella Lodge.

Morris and Angela were great hosts and could nor do enough for us. The surroundings were so so beautiful and tranquil and the Lodge itself was very clean, laid out well, simply perfect for a holiday. The location is great for exploring County Kerry. We are so looking forward to returning in the near future. Thank you Morris and Angela for a great stay.

The Lodge was very comfortable with great views.

It had everything that we needed and was in a good position for exploring the area. The owners were so friendly and helpful too.

Outstanding hosts, great location and a wonderful property.

We highly recommend these fine people. The only negative is their booking agent Sykes, this company is the absolute bottom of the bucket!

The property couldn’t be in a more attractive location for country side lovers.

The sitting room patio doors have a lovely view of the owner’s garden and beyond to fields and a hill. Our daily visitors were robins, wrens and pied wagtails. The lodge is an easy drive into Ballybunion and Listowel in the other direction. We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly couple who own it and our comfort and happiness was their major concern whilst also leaving us in peace to get on with our holiday so many thanks to them. for making our stay so

The owners were friendly and very welcoming.

They were happy to stop and chat but didn’t intrude. They frequently came to check that we had all we needed and that everything worked. The house was comfortable spotless and beautifully furnished. Lovely views and we had use of the garden. We felt well looked after and had the most wonderful holiday in this lovely place. Our thanks to Maurice and Angela for a memorable week. We left with a good feeling.

We enjoyed two weeks in this clean and comfortable property with everything provided and fantastic views.

The Kerry coast and countryside is stunning and we couldn’t fit everything in that we wanted to do. When the weather wasn’t being too kind we had the perfect cosy hideaway to relax in. Maurice and Angela live next door. They are generous hosts offering all the help we needed while respecting our privacy. We’d love to go back one day.

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival, nothing was too much trouble .

Very quiet, good views and plenty of birds visiting the well manicured lawns. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The cottage was everything we expected lovely and clean and well maintained owners very friendly and welcoming lovely area not to far from town hope to return sometime

This was the perfect little house for our trip to county Kerry.

It was clean , comfortable very well equipped and quiet. Maurice welcomed us and was very helpful. It was lovely to come back to the house after our explorations of the area every day. Definitely one to recommend to anyone holidaying the area.

Mog and Angie have been fantastic from the moment we arrived to when we left.

The property was perfect for us. Thank you both for making us feel so welcomed.

Wow where do I start?

Can’t believe how lucky we were to pick Moybella Lodge for our holiday. A perfect little home away from home. Fully equipped, even down to an air fryer, The setting is just wonderful, we even watch a badger run across the lawn. Ang and Maurice went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Trust me this little gem is definitely the place to stay if you’re exploring County Kerry.

Maurice & Angela were very friendly and hospitable hosts.

The lodge had everything you need, was very homely and clean, with a lovely quiet garden. Watching the birds in the garden was so relaxing. Great location for Wild Atlantic way and Ballybunion, which has lovely sandy beaches and great cliff walk. Would recommend as a quiet, relaxing base for an Irish holiday. The hosts will look after you, while also leaving you in peace to enjoy your holiday.

We had a very enjoyable week staying in this lovely cottage, which was comfortable and had everything we needed.

The owners were friendly and helpful in every way. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

My wife and I found this lodge a fantastic place to stay.

It was our Dimond wedding anniversary .Maurice & Angela are great people very helpful and friendly our best wishes go to them at Moybella Lodge

The lodge was extremely comfortable and quite spacious.

The kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment including an air fryer! It is close to both Ballybunion, (has an excellent array of take aways and a Supervalu) and Listowel, ( has a Supervalu, Lidl and Aldi as well as some lovely coffee shops). The lodge was a great base to discover more of the Wild Atlantic Way and Maurice was a great host. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it.

Perfect!

Our Hosts were friendly and helpful and provided a wonderfully peaceful environment whether relaxing or touring. The Lodge was superb with lovely views and within easy reach of the areas many attractions. Highly recommended !!!!!

Lovely cottage in a lovely part of the world.

The owners are brilliant hosts, so friendly and helpful.

I had a very nice week in moybella lodge its in a quiet location with beautiful scenery, the house itself was perfect, comfortable and spotless clean with all the facilities and amenities needed and just a mile from lisselton where there is a pub, restaraunt and petrol station/shop for daily essentials and for anything else the towns of listowel and ballybunion are nearby, i dont drive so i cycle and found listowel to be a 20 minute cycle away and ballybunion 10/15 minutes away so very handy for someone like me, wnen i arrived i was met by angela who was really nice and had some fruit and a couple of bottles of water for me and showed me around the house, i later that day met maurice who was very friendly and chatty and told me i could knock at their door if i needed any help which fortunately i didnt, some people might be afraid or put off by the family dog but shouldnt be he is a very well trained and well behaved german shepherd and isn't at all a nuisance and certainly not a danger and is mostly indoors anyway, overall i got very good value for my money and couldnt be happier with my week in moybella lodge and would recommend to anyone

Our stay at Moybella Lodge was terrific in every way.

Moz, our host could not have been more helpful, he goes above and beyond to ensure guests have the best of experiences.

We had a lovely week and were well looked after by Angela and Maurice.

Lovely well appointed property set in a peaceful garden. Batteries recharged!

This was one of my most memorable stays.

The cottage was 100% in all aspects with outstanding help and advice from Maurice the cottage owner. The big question is would my wife and I return "without doubt" Highly recommended.

Maurice and Angie are perfect hosts.

House is immaculate and exactly per the photos. Gardens are impeccable. Most fantastic, quiet, spotless place to renew the batteries. Watch it Maurice - WE WILL BE BACK!! Get the jokes up to date! Pat & Barry

A great location, close to Ballybunnion and Listowel, excellent for touring Kerry.

The premises were clean, warm and well appointed. The owners were very welcoming and sociable, Maurice is a fantastic guy to have a chat with about the local area and ensured I had a good trip. Many thanks, highly recommended.

This was a great place to stay and Maurice is a well informed man on all aspects about peoples needs , like places to eat visit and any dodgey aspects to look out for.

Angela met us on arrival and set us up for a start great help. This property is very well maintained inside and out. Everything you need is there and if you need anything else Maurice will make it happen. Thank you both for our great holiday. Lily Brian Boland

Excellent cottage.

Everything we needed. A great cottage for two people. The owner, Maurice, couldn't do enough for us. We were lucky to find this cottage as your website does not list it immediately when a search for two into it. Thank you Maurice

This accommodation honoured its promises as advertised and more!

Located conveniently close to the picturesque seaside town of Ballybunion and bigger towns such as Listowel and Tralee, it represented the perfect balance between serene countryside and local amenities. The lodge itself is charmingly intimate and exceptionally clean and comfortable with superb views of the surrounding countryside. We were very impressed with the friendly, helpful yet respectfully non-intrusive service of our wonderful hosts Maurice and Angela. My husband and I have been left with treasured memories of a special time in a house we called our home for the duration of our stay. Highly recommend. Ciara and Paul

When we arrived the host was very welcoming and showed us around the cottage.

it was spacious and cosy and met our requirements.well located b between ballybunnion and listowel .and only a short distance to the beach, shops and restaurants.the couple were very helpful and knowledgeable of the local amenities.would highly recommend this property for a quiet get away from it all break.hope to return again.

We had a great week the owner and his family were lovely the house had everything we needed bed was very comfortable

The host was very welcoming and helpful.

The accommodation provides a good base to explore the area and has everything a couple needs for a short or longer stay and provides excellent value.

Lovely accommodation and wonderful host.

Location is ideal for all of the wonderful beaches and coastline of Kerry

Very clean and pleasant property in a good location for many good places to visit.

The accommodation is good with a well-equipped kitchen and access to a large garden. The owner is friendly and always willing to help.

We really enjoyed our chill out Holiday!

Maurice our host, was tremendous! He even fixed an electric gadget of mine! We had great weather which obviously helped, but our hosts advice & recommendations were invaluable in our decision making! Ideally situated to make the best of The Kerry area.

Owners very friendly and helpful.

The self-contained accommodation looked out on to a peaceful rural scene, but was close to the town of Ballybunion with its cliff walk and excellent and extensive beach.

We found it a good base for exploring the area. The ferry at Talbert was about 20 minutes drive away and enabled us to visit Killkey with its dramatic cliff walk. The Dingle peninsular was quite accessible also. The lounge in the accommodation was light and airy and the kitchen facilities very good. We have no hesitation in recommending this holiday accommodation.

The Lodge was very comfortable and we enjoyed staying in it.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our hosts Maurice and Angela were very welcoming and helpful. We loved the peaceful countryside views from the conservatory and found the location very convenient for visiting both Listowel and Ballybunion. Apart from the beautiful views we enjoyed the other facilities on offer, free WiFi, a selection of books and the television. We are looking forward to a return visit soon.

The owners Maurice and Angela were very friendly and eager to assist in any way possible.

Moybella Lodge is a haven of tranquillity.

So peaceful and relaxing. The owners are so welcoming and Maurice was very knowledgeable about the local area and region. Moybella itself is very much a home from home, having many lovely homely touches throughout. It is a very well equipped lodge with every thing you need to make your holiday a memorable experience. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Both the property and the area was lovely even the weather was good.

The owner couple is very friendly.

They are helpful and it's important for them, that you can enjoy the stay. If there is a problem, they tray to resolve as soon as possible. Very positiv: We celebratet our wedding-annivetsary - they spent us a bottle of sparkling wine. Negativ: Dogs are often barking. Apart of this fact - it' s a very quiet aerea.

This was a great location.

Very friendly hosts.

We recently had a lovely stay at the Moybella Lodge.

Angela and Maurice were very welcoming and even brought over a toy for our little boy to play with. The accommodation was charming- clean, fresh, filled with natural light and well designed. At 5 minutes drive from both the stunning Ballybunion beach and bustling town of Listowel this was a most enjoyable and peaceful getaway. We can highly recommend this location and are planning a trip back there shortly!

Compared to the phots on the Sykes website (that were very good), the actual property looked even better in reality.

It was very spacious for a 1 bed property. The view from the lounge out through the patio doors up to Knockanore mountain, a great vista. The owners provide a very warm welcome upon arrival and the cottage facilities are of the highest standard. Highly recommended.

We have been renting cottages from Hogan's /Sykes for a number of years now, and have seen all kinds and types of cottage some good, some not so good, but I have to say this one is by far 'The' best We have stayed in.

People ,often come on these feedback columns, and moan about things ( albeit in their mind totally justified) I can't find a single thing to say against this accommodation. The ,location was brilliant, everything in the cottage worked, it had central heating which most of the Irish cottages do not have. The cottage was purpose built by Maurice ( owner) for his mother in ,law, so obviously he has put evefrytbhibg in to to make her life comfortable. She ;passed and now he rents it out, all the people who go there will be getting the benefit of the effort he ;put into it for her So to sum up, this is a 1st ,class cottage, with a good owner, who likes to crack endless jokes with his clientele, I found him very endearing, and he cares about what his customers want No I am not related to bhim and he is not my brother lol !.

Report for Hogans Cottages dated 13th May 2018 Thanks to the accuracy of the Sat Nav co-ordinates provide we arrived at Moybella Lodge where we received a very warm welcome from the owner who brought us on a conducted tour of the property.

This was exactly as shown in your Holiday Details and the owner could not have been more helpful advising us of things to do and places to visit together with the location of suitable hostelries in Ballybunnion and surrounding areas. If you want peace and tranquility, magnificent views and sandy beaches, this is the place to come. Albert F. Stuart

Comfortable base for exploring North Kerry.

Owners very welcoming and helpful. Place was spacious for two and well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed a restful week which was much appreciated.

This is a perfect location as offers a tranquil setting whilst also central for those wishing to visit the nearby coast.

Our stay was at the beginning of February and the weather was very cold, however Moybella Lodge was beautifully cosy and warm. The owners were very helpful and we were made very welcome, thank you!

Such a warm and cosy place.

An ideal base for exploring Kerry. When I start reading books again I know I’m in full relax mode. The hosts couldn’t be more helpful. I would definately recommend a stay here.

Morris & his family were very helpful .

..this is a perfectly adequate spot for a week of sight seeing. The cottage was clean & comfortable Many thanks

Owners extremely friendly, kind and helpful.

You can ask for help at any time. Never met nicer people. I would recommend it to all my family and friends. Best holiday ever!

Owners were very helpful and as we had twin babies they provided an extra travel cot.

House was very comfortable and surroundings were beautiful.

Good location, quiet in cottage.

Owners very friendly and obliging. Excellent wifi. Comfortable.

Very friendly owners, but not intrusive.

easy to find. Very well designed, a great place to relax and chill out. Need to use car every time to go out, no restaurants/ bar within walking distance A little disappointed with Ballybunnion itself as large fairground, but go a little further and fantastic coastline, even in height of August we found near deserted beaches and beautiful villages.
