Kerry Way Cottage

After staying at the Kerry Way cottage 2 years ago, we did not hesitate to rebook for a family break and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

We know the area well so find it the perfect location for exploring the Ring of Kerry. Mr Sweeney greets us like old friends and leaves us to it for the week. It’s handy having him next door but we didn’t see/need him at all. The cottage is modern, spacious, clean, well equipped and totally met the needs of 6 adults. The view is to die for and, despite some misty days, we made the most of admiring the stunning landscape around us. I would not hesitate to recommend the cottage and we will certainly be back soon

Large, very well furnished and comfortable cottage on the Ring of Kerry.

Located directly on the Kerry Way hiking trail. The view of the Atlantic is magnificent. Friendly and very helpful owners.

While property is a little remote but then you enjoy such fantastic views.

House was spotless and nicely furnished and best equipped house we have encountered. No problem recommending this property. We enjoyed it so much would like to rebook it for same period next year. Awaiting your reply

The cottage is in a beautiful setting with wonderful views over the bay and mountains.

Every evening it was a pleasure just to sit and take in the views. The cottage is also on the Kerry Way with some stunning walks straight from the door. Just a note for visitors the water for the whole are has a brownish tinge from the tannin so a big bottle of water for drinking might be a good idea.

Very nice, spacy and comfortable accomodation, with great views and many possibilities for excursions and hikes.

Quiet environment. The facilities are good and complete. Renewal of the toilet seats and eventually the washstand in the bathrooms would boost the overall impression of the accomodation. I recommend the holiday property.

Was listed as detached property ,private.

But the owner lives next door and has open access from his property to the rental property tru a hedge. For privacy should be a gate put up ,for both parties. ,as when sitting in back your loooking at the owners and whoever else there as its a garage.. but property perfect ,views absolutely amazing. Just value my privacy..

The location is secluded and lovely.

The scenery is superb, with stunning views from the dining room areas. All rooms comfortable and extremely clean. We are already considering going back there again next year, it was that lovely.

It was the view that sold this to us and, when we got there, it was more spectacular than we could have imagined.

What a location! The cottage is massive and comes complete with all mod cons (washer, dryer, dishwasher etc.). It's accessed up a narrow road from the main Ring of Kerry route but is easy to find, especially if you follow the signs to the adjoining garage (which was not at all noisy). As one would expect given the remote location there's no internet but a good 3G/4G mobile signal so you can use a smartphone as a mobile hotspot (data permitting). This was good enough to watch Sky Sports on a laptop. All rooms are spacious and comfortable and the owner, Mr Sweeney, is happy to help when required.

Cottage was off the beaten track a little but was also close to everything would highly recommend it 10 out of 10

Fabulous cottage well equipped with extra and great location

We didn’t have to refer to the owner, who was nearby, much after our meeting on arrival but he was very helpful when asked.

The cottage was the best we have ever stayed in, the views were breathtaking, we were fortunate to be there when it was sunny and hot for the whole 7 days, narrow lane to access the property, amenities a short drive away, but this was far outweighed, looking over Kenmare Bay, spectacular, we really wanted to stay longer where as normally we are getting ready to return home to our home comforts, not on this occasion.

The view was brilliant (on a good-weather day), but the road access was a little tricky.

The property was very much better equipped than most self-catering cottages we've stayed in and everything worked. It was very spacious. Very quiet location. Good access to the Kerry Way itself. The owner was very amenable. It was better than the last Sykes property we stayed in.
