Fern View House

We love staying at Fern View House.

It's lovingly furnished, super clean, has very comfortable beds, and has everything you need. From here, you can easily explore the Ring of Kerry, but without a car, you won't be able to do much. For your information, it's about 15 minutes to Killorglin for shopping, and about 20 minutes to Killarney. We'd love to come back!

Perfect accommodation for a family of 5, beautiful, big and clean, fantastic hosts, couldn’t have been happier with it and can’t wait to come back some day soon!

Amazing holiday home.

This is the best holiday home ever that we have stayed in. Spotless, spacious, comfortable & well situated for sightseeing. We had a fantastic week weather wise too - the sun shone every day and it was warmer than home - mostly between 18 & 22deg daily. My mum in law was delighted to see thrushes in the garden - she hadn’t seen a thrush for a long time. The Kissane Foodstore was located 1/2 mile away from the house - we always used this on our map app to get us back to the house - and their home made scones are absolutely delicious. Would thoroughly recommend this holiday home - you won’t be disappointed. Thank you

An excellent property in a very convenient location - five minutes from both Kate Kearney’s Cottage and Cronin's Yard - for quick access up into the Reeks.

The house is large, well-furnished and comfortable with plenty of rooms, bathrooms and a drying room for wet kit. The garden is huge and well-maintained. Brian was very communicative and was on-hand for any issues.

We’ve just returned from a week at Fern View House and we had a fabulous time.

The directions were spot on and we found it easily. It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed and more. The owner left concise instructions and was contactable any time if we needed anything. The house is perfectly situated to enjoy the beautiful area and we would definitely book it again.

We stayed here for two weeks and couldn't fault the place as it has everything that we needed or wanted as we was a party of 6 and still had lots of room with the en suites and the family bathroom.

its in an ideal location as you have shops just long the road if in need of food or travel into town for more shops. There's plenty of things to do or just a drive if you just want to go sight seeing with all the Southern Ireland has to offer. The owner was always just a phone call away if we needed anything and even gave us some more fuel for the open fire in the front room. Loved it here and will be booking again for the next time we come over.

The directions to find the property were poor and didnt show on the sat nav.

we eventually found a more direct route which could have been mentioned but spent over 2hrs searching. The upstairs floors creaked badly. We had to mend the bathroom toilet lid which we found broken. The bathroom shower was poor. The most disrespectful part was the owners unexpectantly charging for electric use at the end of stay which was not mentioned on or before arrival. We were there only 5days never had the heat on and charged €45 . Having holidayed in Ireland both north and south for several years I have never been asked for extra utility payments.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fern View.

The house is very well equipped, very comfortable and offers tranquility and fantatstic views, while in close proximity to lots of activities and fantastic places. It is very spacious. The only downsides we could find were the squeaky floorboards (which cannot be changed) and the beds in the downstairs twin room, which were really uncomfortable. But the (very nice!) owners said they were thinking about replacing them. I would definitely recommend Fern View!

We had a great stay recently (July 24) at Fern View House.

The house itself was fantastic, easily accommodating the six of us, it was really clean and spacious throughout and in a brilliant location. It was ideally located to do most if not all Kerry’s most popular attractions and routes. Owners were very friendly and accommodating, if and when we come back this way I would most likely look to stay here again. Ian

Beautiful spacious house in a fabulous location close to the Gap of Dunloe, ideal for touring, hiking, cycling etc.

(approx 20 min walk to local shop, pub/restaurant approx 3.5 miles away & Killarney short drive in car) everything was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with all you could need. We particularly liked sitting in the conservatory with the amazing view of the mountains and even had a deer wander into our garden from a nearby wood. Brian was very friendly and helpful and we can’t wait to return to Fern View house next time in Kerry…’highly recommended’!!!

We were very comfortable in Fern View House, its stunning location gave us views of the fabulous MacGillycuddys Reeks as well as good access to the Ring of Kerry and Killarney.

We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

First the house looked amazing standing in its own immaculate garden.

Inside, it was beautifully clean and was very well equipped. We were very comfortable there and felt at home and made good use of the lovely kitchen. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the conservatory where we could view the stunning mountain scenery that wraps around this area. The owner Brian who we spoke to on the phone was really lovely and helpful. This is a great base to tour the region, there’s so much to see and do. We would not hesitate to recommend this holiday property and we will be returning.

This was an amazing holiday in an outstanding house, gardens and area.

We loved it here. Such a great place. The price was good, the house has everything you could need

Great cottage in a stunning location.

Fantastic views from the house across to the mountains. Well equipped cottage with everything needed for a relaxing holiday.

A very comfortable, spacious and clean house.

Definitely the best house we have stayed in our many visits to Kerry over the years. Location is ideal fo both walking in the Gap or the national park and as a base for touring the Skellig peninsula and Dingle/Slea Head. The house had everything we wanted and the owners were very friendly too. Definitely would recommend and fully intend coming back

spent a wonderful week @ "Fern View" perfect location to discover Killarney & the Ring of Kerry.

. The property was excellent, comfortable, clean & great location.. Gap of Dungloe only a short drive away.. really friendly local pub "The Beaufort Bar" (check opening times) So if your in Killarney - this is the ideal property to enjoy your stay 5*

Superb location for touring the area with great views of the local scenery from the spacious gardens.

Ideal location for touring around Kerry and surrounding counties.

The house is out in the countryside midway between Kilorglin and Killarney.

A really excellent property with all the facilities of a high standard and very well equipped.

We couldn't have asked for more.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fern View House.

There was everything we needed and much more. We, particularly, loved sitting in in conservatory and the lounge enjoying the views.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fern View.

It's a great location for visiting sights around Kellarney or heading to the coast on the peninsulas. The views of the mountains near the house were beautiful and ever changing with the weather - we were lucky to have mainly dry days! The house is spacious and well equipped - lots of space for 2 little ones to run around and lovely to sit admiring the views in either the lounge or conservatory. Thank you

Everything about this holiday cottage was excellent - the beautiful house in a quiet setting, the access to many scenic places but especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners.

Had a great stay.

Loved the conservatory and the setting. Friendly helpful owner.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped cottage.

Fitted our needs perfectly.

We stayed in this property some years ago and have not been disappointed on our return.

The house is very well equipped set in over an acre of land. I will certainly stay here again if i return to Southern Ireland.

The house is ideally located in a rural area with easy access to both hiking trails and to Killarney and Kilorglin.

There are some fantastic mountain drive routes but take it easy on the narrow country roads where you will come across humans walking and cycling and animals grazing. The weather was great when we visited which made our Carrauntoohil climb even more rewarding.

Wonderful house in a great location.

Lovely, helpful owners. Thanks for everything!

Ideal location for touring Kerry.

Very clean very well equipped house.

Extremely spacious house.

Even bigger than it looks on website. Outside garden area very big. Kitchen well stocked with everything needed for self catering. Great facilities- showers. Beautiful views from the conservatory. Would highly recommend this house and will definitely return. July18th-25th 2020

Great holiday location with ease of access to both peninsula's.

Also only a short spin to Killarney. Both Brian and Mary are great hosts who want to ensure their guests have a pleasant stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at Fern View.

Very spacious house in large grounds, 20-25 minutes drive to the centres of Killorglin and Killarney. Owners are very nice and very helpful with any questions you may have.

Beautiful house in lovely surroundings.

Only a couple of miles from the fantastic Gap of Dunloe which is a real must. Thank you to Mary for her kindness and helpful information.

A beautiful cottage in a great location for exploring the local area.

Very friendly owners as well

Fantastic base for exploring Kerry.

Spacious house with everything we needed. Thank you.

Fantastic accommodations - wonderful views - friendly hosts

Fern View is a beautiful home in a stunning location , with mountain views on every side.

Lovely furnishings and equipment too and only 5 minutes to the Gap or to Beaufort; so we couldn’t have asked for more ! Karen, Danny and friends, August 2018

The house is beautiful, exceptionally clean and has everything you want, it lacks nothing The location is wonderful, near Killarney , and lots of other attractions.

I would recommend this house to anyone. Great. thank you Brian and Mary.

The cottage was brilliant, spacious clean and well equipped.

The surroundings are stunning. Cottage owners Brian and Mary were friendly and helpful. You need a car for here but that's probably similar for most rural Ireland cottages. Highly recommend!

Property owners were very friendly and helpful.
