Abina's is an inviting house in Kenmare, County Kerry, positioned within easy reach of Killarney National Park and ideal for families and friends seeking a convenient base in this scenic part of Ireland, where you can park along the roadside and pause to take in views across the village before making your way to the entrance and stepping up into the property, entering through a tiled hallway that leads you into a spacious and bright sitting room where two sofas provide a welcoming place to gather, the Smart TV sets the scene for relaxed evenings, and a feature fireplace adds a touch of character, before continuing into the kitchen and dining room where wood-effect flooring stretches underfoot and a dining table encourages shared meals, complemented by artwork on the walls and an old-style pass-through hatch linking back to the sitting room, while a nearby cloakroom offers added convenience and the well-equipped space allows you to prepare meals with ease, tidy away using the dishwasher, and refresh walking gear with the washing machine and clothes airer, with a door opening directly out to the garden for stepping outside with ease, then heading upstairs via wooden stairs to the first floor where wood-effect laminate flooring flows across the landing and into each bedroom, where a rear-facing shower room with walk-in shower and touch mirror also enjoys a view towards the garden, and three well-appointed bedrooms await, including a double overlooking the rear garden, a second double to the front, and a twin room suited to children or friends sharing, all set within a home that has been tastefully updated and restored to create a bright and well-kept interior, while outside the enclosed rear garden offers both a generous patio and lawn space with furniture, making it an excellent place to dine outdoors or spend time in the fresh air before heading into town, with the property set along a quiet back street that places shops, restaurants and pubs just a short stroll away, allowing you to explore Kenmare on foot, where you can wander through Reenagross Woodland Park beneath its trees, visit the historic Kenmare Stone Circle, or browse the colourful streets lined with independent shops and traditional pubs, while further afield Killarney offers the expansive landscapes of Killarney National Park, the elegant surroundings of Muckross House and its gardens, and the striking cascade of Torc Waterfall, and Glengarriff invites you to explore Garnish Island with its vibrant planting, discover woodland trails in Glengarriff Nature Reserve, or take to the waters of Bantry Bay to admire the coastline, all combining to make Abina's a well-situated choice for a County Kerry getaway.

What guests are saying
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house for a week.
It's in a superb location just a few steps from the stone circle in one direction and the many wonderful pubs, bars, shops and restaurants of Kenmare in the other, whilst being on a quiet street with parking. The house has been thoughtfully and tastefully appointed, with lovely touches such as the generous shower cubicle, touch sensitive bathroom mirror and well equipped kitchen. The owners were very helpful, with a fantastic welcome pack of homemade soda bread and milk, as well as a super useful folder of suggestions for local walks, drives, days out and food and drink recommendations. Kenmare is a cracking town and we would love to come back to this lovely property again. Recommended.
