    “After a hiccough with Sykes we arrived to be greeted very warmly by Noelene and Sally, made to feel right at home, central heating on and told to leave it on constant, fire lit and plenty of coal and wood to keep fire going all week, tea and milk left for us.”

    Very clean, absolutely no cobwebs! Betty arrived to introduce herself, checked on us the next day and invited us out! Cannot find fault anywhere, made to feel so very welcome. We were treated to good weather all week, will certainly return, thoroughly recommend. Thank you Noelen, Sally, Betty and Charlie the dog

Glenosheen, originally built by a colony of Palatine settlers, sits below the Ballyhoura mountains, just 2 miles from the village of Ardpatrick, named after Ireland’s patron saint, St Patrick. The saint is reputed to have built a church on the hill that overlooks the village and the remnants of this still exist today. 4 miles from Glenosheen and 6 miles southeast of Kilmallock sits the market town of Kilfnane, the highest town in County Limerick. Kilfnane boasts an excellent outdoor education centre for school, youth and adult groups with a wide range of adventure sports and courses including canoeing, rockclimbing, hillwalking, horseriding and abseiling to name but a few!
