A lovely home away from home and lovely hosts with the human touch which is very unusual this day and age.
Website photos of the property were dated.
Property is tired and in need of refurbishment. Sleeps 8 but living accommodation and dining facilities are too small for 8 people. Applicances, particularly the oven didn't work properly. Didn't heat to required temperatures. Food took far too long to cook in the oven. Electric shower dripped water through the plastic casing (very unsafe). Crockery and ans were old and tired. Sub-standard accommodation. Very disappointed. Owner did her best to help with oven issue by providing a crockpot. I have images to support my comments.
We had a fantastic stay at Delia's Cottage.
Perfect property and perfect location. We had everything we needed within the property and it was very comfortable. It was perfect for our (2) dogs. The garden was fully enclosed and safe and as the weather was very good we could leave the door open and they could roam freely. There was even a very good vet a very short distance away! It was a moderate walk in to Ballinrobe for shops and eating out. Great host! We would definitely recommend and certainly book again.
