What a fantastic location!
Amazing views out to sea, lovely accommodation, so much to do and see in the area. The directions we had were a little vague but if you enter the supplied coordinates into the sat nav it takes you to the door. Thank you for another great Sykes holiday.
Fantastic location and great facilities.
The kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfortable. Given the fine weather, it was lovely to have some outdoor space to sit and relax. Thank you.
Wonderful house.
We were so comfortable there. Good stove, fridge, washing machine. Everything works. Appreciated the huge coffeepot and to have a teapot. The peat fire was a treat. Amazing view across the water to Roundstone - on a clear day! A great place to stay for the 3 of us. We enjoyed being away from the towns. Moyrus beach was a highlight.
A wonderful few days spent in this delightful property in its stunning location.
Everything we could have wished for was there (a sharper bread knife would be the icing on the cake for the future!) and the arrangements for booking & gaining access were so hassle-free. Thoroughly recommended for a quiet & peaceful break in breath-taking surroundings.
We loved our stay at Ti Sheamuis and were surprised at the negative comments left by some others.
The view is spectacular and if you like bird watching you don’t have to leave the house to observe birds in the ever changing seascape in front of you. We heard the cuckoo, snipe and sky larks in the field behind the house on various occasions. Lovely beaches about 15 minutes away and plenty of interesting places to visit. Ideal for people who want to go cycling or hiking (if you like that kind of thing) but we found it very relaxing just looking at the view and the birds. Yes the bathroom and shower are small but the water is hot and the house is easy to warm. It rained for the first few days of our visit but no smell of damp as posted in a previous review. Friendly owners and very relaxing holiday.
Lovely cottage for my purpose: a short solo trip to run Connemarathon.
Beautiful views, and everything to be comfortable for a few days.
Our family had a terrific time in this beautiful cottage with such a lovely view of the sea, that it mesmerized us entirely.
Not only was it an ideal starting point for day trips, but also a cozy refuge during pouring rain and gushing winds. We can definitely see us booking this place again.
A beautiful cottage in a wonderful location Could not fault it.
The only thing missing is the website should have the Eircode as I got lost in the way down The owner has also asked for it to be included.
prima huis, prima ligging badkamer wat gedateerd
Vista excellent.
No welcoming folder no operation manuals. No WiFi for whole and had to use hotels and pubs for ecencial comunication and still none by the time we left. The cottage needed some general TLC. Shower cubicle not suitable for a larger person (90cm shower tray would fit.) Conglomeration of switches for lights some did not operate anything at all Bed in one room very LOW, which made it difficult getting out of it as I suffer hip problems. Main Light not working in bedroom. Lastly definitely needs a table outside to sit and enjoy best part of the cottage the vue.
property was beautiful and in an ideal location, we could not find a can opener in the kitchen though a couple of the double glazed windows had the seals blown so condensation was inside the panes which let it down a bit the main 12 switch panel by the front door had no labels on and half the switches did nothing (tried at night in-case there were outside lights)
Beautiful views from the house.
It has everything you could need for a comfortable
The cottage is cosy and provided with nearly everything you might need.
As heating and electricity are included, it is possible to heat the rooms to feel comfortable when it's cold outside. The bathroom is a bit of a problem though, as it feels damp even when heated. We were not happy about the beds either and felt they could need updating. But apart from that, we had a great week and enjoyed the awesome views and the sea just a few metres in front of the window.
Loved this wee property
Suggest a proper name sign outside the cottage to make it obvious to find?
I nearly lost my breath when I saw it and the living room view was spectacular.
Mr. Keane the owner stopped by to check on me and was so very nice. I sincerely hope to stay again in the near future as it was absolutely what I needed for a retreat. One of my favorite amenities was the heater in bathroom and second had to be fireplace.
My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at Ti Sheamuis.
The cottage was cosy, clean and well-equipped. The area was very peaceful and quiet. We loved the views across the water to Roundstone. We used the wood burning stove a few times. The cottage was in a great location for touring Connemara and County Galway
Needs a little love.
Beautyfull place, Mayby New salon, and matras. But overall money worht.
Every thing ok but a bread knife and tin opener would be ok we had to cook.
because pubs where all closed by house for decorating
La douche est très bruyante et le chauffe-eau est compliqué
We really enjoyed our stay at Tì Sheamus .
the cottage was very clean and well equipped. The views from the cottage was fantastic . Sitting in the cottage watching the sunsets was beautiful. You definitely need a car to get around , roads are to dangerous to walk on. Loved Tì Sheamus and connemara will definitely be back.
I had a lovely stay in this beautiful place.
It was my second visit in fact. I love the area it's so peaceful and relaxing. People are friendly and there is lots to do if you want or you can just sit by the fireside watching the ocean
We enjoyed our Holiday in this lovely very quiet House.
A Perfect Place to relax and to Forget business at Home. Greetings Beatrix and Bernhard
A lovely clean and comfortable cottage with amazing views.
An ideal base to explore the beautiful connemara and county Galway countryside and coast.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful scenic area overlooking the sea.
Great facilities including fast broadband. A great base for touring Connemara. The house is also well equipped to cope with winter weather.
Lovely location Very well equipped.
Views outstanding. Comfy sitting room. We found the directions to the property clear and we had no issues finding it. Clifden is the nearest town and there is everything you need there.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage.
The location is so wonderful, with the nearness to the sea, the view of the mountains, the stillness - yet the easy drive to get to many of the places to visit in Connemara. The cottage was comfortable and reasonably equipped . The wood burning stove looked very inviting - our weather was thankfully too good to need to make use of it. Communication was easy and everything went smoothly.
A fantastic house in a lovely rural location.
The house owner Mr Keane was most helpful. A great place to relax, and unwind.
We had a really lovely holiday, location perfect and house spotless and exactly as described.
Would strongly recommend for a nice peaceful quite break away. Regards Brendan
Directions to the cottage are not really accurate and contain information that is incorrect.
Otherwise the house was comfortable, very well equipped, and in a beautiful part of Connemara. The owners were readily available in case of any difficulties.
Thank you very much!
A genuine pearl in the middle of the Irish 'Wild West', the centre of the Gaelic language area - sea food, salmon and trout fishing, hiking, hunting; and the kindest of people.
..
Fabulous!
!! If you want piece and quiet to get away from it all this is the place to go!! The accommodation was perfect with the most beautiful surroundings, well equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy the West of Ireland. A 5 minute walk to a local bar that serves the best fish chowder I’ve had. Just up the road past Roundstone has 2 amazing beaches ( Dogs Bay & Gurteen Bay ) You’re also in the shadows of the most breathtaking views of the mountains of Connemara. If you book for 1 day or even 10 days you won’t be let down!!
Beautiful place and would love to go back there again
Very helpful and friendly hosts!
Great house to relax in and enjoy the scenic seascapes and mountains. 10 minutes to the shop and post office nearby in Carna.
Ti Sheamuis is a lovely cottage right by the coast, warm and cosy with all the creature comforts needed to make spending Christmas here a real treat.
I arrived a little earlier than our arranged time but the landlord was really helpful and came straight over to let me in. We really enjoyed our time here. It is in a great location with a pub/restaurant within walking distance and some really pretty beaches near by. I would highly recommend a stay here for a nice relaxing holiday.
Had a wonderful holisay.
The cottage is really great and ideal for 2 couples. Very comfortable and right in the middle of the beautiful Connemara countryside. The one negative thing I have to say and that is why I didn't give full marks for the accuracy listing is that putting " Cashel" on the address really confused us. We took the oad which was signposted "Cashel" and spent over an hour going up and down it, taking the little roads going off it and never finding the cottage. I eventually got through to the owner , as the phone kept breaking up, who kindly put us on the right track. The cottage is nearer to Carna and that is where I should have headed to and not Cashel. Probably the address is fine if you have a satellite system but we didn't. Anyway, apart from that it was an immensely enjoyable week
Very nice place, confortable and well sized for 4.
Sea view. Need a car.
Had friends come to visit while we were there.
They were very impressed and asked us for your contact details. So have already made a couple of recommendations.
Tricky to find as distances are wrong, but lovely location.
We saw an otter and a porpoise from the lounge window. Also had a couple of visits from a hare. Really enjoyed our stay.
Set only a few yards from the sea, this cottage has a magnificent view over the sea and of the twelve Bens, possibly the best view of anywhere we have ever stayed.
The cottage has ample parking and is very well equipped. The owner, Mr Keane pops in shortly after your arrival to make sure everything is OK for you. I recommend visiting Kylemore Abbey and Padraig Pearse's cottage and visitor centre. Also do take the coastal drive tto Clifden via Roundstone and the Sky Road Loop from Clifden. We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful area, and would highly recommend a stay at Ti Sheamuis
Lovely except one bad experience with the locals
The cottage was in a wonderful location with a wonderful view at the sea from the sitting and bed room, spacious, perfectly equipped and more (extra bed covers, masses of towels, excellent pots and pans, nothing was missing) We had difficulties finding it (although the owner had given us very detailed directions, definitely our fault) but he was kind enough to come out and help us on the last bit of the way.
We certainly want to come back and for a week next time. Perfect, could not have been better.
Stunning location, would recommend cottage and location always, will definetly be returning.
