Tigh Mhicheal Phaidin

What an amazing property!

! We loved it. The owners of the property were the most welcoming, accommodating, friendly people you could ever wish to meet. Their property was clean, fresh and had everything you needed. There were fresh home made scones with butter and a little pot of jam along with a bottle of milk waiting for us too. The sheep and lambs were lovely to see too. All in all a wonderful experience with amazing hosts. Thank you

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful cottage.

The pictures do not do it justice as it’s so much better in real life! The hosts are really lovely too, which is an added bonus. 5*

Stayed here many times.

Padraig & Hilda are perfect hosts. Beautiful part of Ireland. Wonderful holiday.

I do Ireland every 2nd or 3rd year for 30years now.

A very lovely, comfortable and clean cottage .

Beautiful area and exceptionally welcoming hosts.

Thank goodness this was our last accommodation in Ireland otherwise we would’ve been disappointed in all the other places we stayed in!

! This place was fantastic…lovely wee cottage with all the amenities, lovely hosts, great location for visiting the Connemarra and a short drive to restaurants. We only wished we had booked it for longer. Thanks to Hilda and Padraig for making us feel so at home.

Just back from another wonderful week in Tigh Mhicheal Phaidin.

It’s an ideal location for exploring the counties of Galway and Mayo and the fishing is pretty good, too!

Wonderful week in a beautiful country.

Great hosts. Loved the scones

We have just enjoyed a wonderful stay in this comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage.

It is in the most beautiful area with facilities close by. The hosts Padraig, Hilda and family could not have been more friendly or helpful. It was lovely to arrive to some delicious treats and fresh flowers. Nothing was too much trouble and everything has clearly been carefully thought through. Thank you Julianne and Keith

Très jolie maison avec propriétaires sympas !

Fabulous cottage, thanks to Hilda and Padraig for making our stay so enjoyable.

What an absolutely beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, there were 5 of us staying, 2 teenage boys and 1 pre teen and all were very happy enough space for all and to play football and run around, and close enough for days out.

And each evening took a stroll down to the lake to watch the sunset. The owners are lovely lovely people so friendly and helpful and the scones and biscuits in the welcome basket were the best we had ever tasted and were very much needed after a 12 hour journey.

Sykes used to have an excellent reputation.

Sadly that is no longer the case. However this property was maintained to an excellent standard the owner was a local farmer and a real gentleman. The property is a traditional Irish cottage that has been beautifully restored. It’s a wonderful opportunity to stay in an old cottage but with modern comforts added.

I keep returning to this cottage because the location is dreamy and Padraig & Hilda are just the most welcoming hosts you will ever find.

You will struggle to find a better place in Ireland.

We had a fantastic time.

The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We definitely hope to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage.

Very peaceful setting and some beautiful views. Clean and comfortable, well equipped. Thoughtful gestures with fire being laid, scones jam and butter left, daffodils in vase. Padraig called over to check all ok. Would love to return. Thank you both.

I had a fabulous stay at this cosy cottage.

Hilda kindly had a roaring fire lit for me prior to my arrival which was most welcome on a cold January evening and ample fuel available for the duration of my visit. The cottage was spotlessly clean throughout and anything I needed was at hand including some tasty cookies and scones on arrival. Perfect base to tour around Connemara and check out the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage in a great location to tour Connemara.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Amazing views from the windows, good WiFi if you need to work while you are there and big log burner for cosy evenings in. They have a good selection of board games and we were welcomed with some yummy treats

Very good accommodation, the owners couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, their local knowledge was very helpful.

I’ve stayed here a few times now.

Wonderful hosts Padraig & Hilda. They can’t do enough for you. Beautiful location. Stunning views. Lovely traditional cottage in the most beautiful place on earth.

Our recent visit to Connemara was made special by our wonderful hosts and our truly lovely accommodation.

The cottage was everything we needed in comfort, cleanliness, location and scenery. On our arrival the fire was lightning and a welcome pack of beautiful homemade scones ,cookies , butter and jam awaited us..During our stay our hosts Padraig and Hilda were superb hosts. , always available to help if needed..Would without hesitation recommend this beautiful cottage to complete a perfect holiday.

Super cottage - Padraig and Hilda were really welcoming with lovely cakes on arrival.

Would highly recommend staying here, cottage is warm and cosy with stunning views.

We spent a lovely week despite the rainy days.

The place is a very well-renovated old house. Thanks to the owners to preserve this heritage. The views from the house are fantastic, and the fireplace makes the interior very relaxing. It was our first trip to Ireland and we really enjoyed it. Lakes, mountains, rivers, agricultural landscapes, the area is really rich for nature lovers. And on top of that, the owners are very kind. We highly recommend the place.

We loved the cottage.

It was comfortable and well equipped, in a lovely position with views of lake and mountains. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Not too far from the nearest supermarket and an excellent pub which served good food.

Set in a beautiful location with mountain views, Lough Maske a short stroll over a field with easy fishing this cottage is a dream.

Within easy reach of Cong (The location for The Quiet Man John Wayne movie) Galway City, Satlhill and Spiddal with white sand beaches and gentle strolls on the prom. If sea fishing is your thing a trip with Galway Bay Angling and skipper Kevin is a must. If you like a but of Perch, Pike or Brown Trout then there are plenty of shore marks on Maske and Corrib aling with boat hire. This cottage is well worth visiting and tge owners are very helpful.

Really lovely place, absolutely spotless.

The owners were lovely. Beautiful views from the front and back of the cottage. Fully equipped with everything you might need.

It was the 2nd time I’ve stayed here and I’ve already booked again.

Padraig can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. The location is stunning. The cottage is cosy and very homely.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage.

There was enough space for our family of 2 adults and 3 children. On our arrival we had a very warm welcome by Padraig. The fire in the oven was already burning. The interior is of the cottage is very nice and we enjoyed our stay a lot. For us it was the perfect homebase to discover Connemara. Thank you very much for everything - especially for showing us the baby lambs! Our children were completely excited about that wonderful experience!

Lovely place to stay.

The cottage was cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were welcomed with a lit log burning stove, fresh scones, butter and jam. Hilda and Padraig were friendly and welcoming. The view was marvellous and we had a perfect stay.

Lovely rural setting, fabulous surrounding scenery.

Our hosts were fabulously welcoming, kind and helpful and overall wonderful hosts. Thank you

The cottage was superb.

Good location to visit Galway and Connemara.

The owners are very friendly and charming people always ready to answer questions. The welcome could not have been more friendly and nice.
