Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

Would definitely visit again. We had a slight issue with the heating early in the week, an email to Ann was answered almost immediately and the problem sorted.

Wonderful character cottage with everything you would need,and a little bit more, for a relaxing or active holiday in this most wonderful part of Ireland.

Lovely owner as well, who popped in to make sure everything was ok.

Old Mike’s Cottage is one of the most beautiful, tranquil places I’ve ever stayed.

Every corner shows the host’s love and care—from the charming décor to the cosy fireside where we spent our evenings. The spacious layout kept the kids happy with plenty of toys, and our little dog felt right at home. Outside, the cottage sits beside a peaceful field and a shimmering lake, yet it’s only a short drive to lively Westport. Our host was exceptional—kind, helpful, and willing to go far beyond expectations to make our stay perfect. I honestly can’t imagine how it could have been better. A flawless 10/10. Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the quirkiness of the interior. There was everything we needed and more. My 4 year old loved the fancy dress costumes. Max the dog was also a big hit! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Old mikes cottage was what you expect for an Irish white and green place to stay, the area has plenty to offer beautiful part of the country.

The cottage had everything you need big kitchen diner, the beds are really comfortable had really good nights sleep, they also have the most friendliest dog called Max who likes a good petting, Ann who owns the property is a very friendly person and only wants you to have a wonderful holiday. If we go back we will definitely stay at old mikes cottage.

Old Mike's Cottage is absolutely charming and has obviously been refurbished as a labour of love.

It is extremely cosy and comfortable and has lots of little knick knacks and quirky corners and some great books and games to keep you entertained, especially if the weather is not so wonderful. It is in a beautiful area with lots of interesting places to visit. A real gem and I will certainly recommend it to my friends and family and hope to return again soon. Stunning traditional Irish cottage - so cosy and has everything you could possibly need.

Approx 10km from the town of Westport/10 min drive. Beutiful views of Lough Moher & Croagh Patrick from the cottage.
